RACE 3 No.12 Shogun Sun

Cracking performance here a fortnight back when beating all bar the heavily backed Scallopini. If not for being held up half way down the straight he would have finished closer and may have even given the winner a run for his money over the concluding stages. Goes to the mile for the first time and draws the right gate to take up a prominent spot. Looks his race.

RACE 5 No.11 Yitai Synergy

Team Snowden trained youngster who won two trials before debuting at Randwick in December when unplaced as a $2.40 favourite. Whilst disappointing on paper note she did pull up with a slow recovery. Immediately tipped out she resumes tomorrow again off the back of two easy trial wins in Sydney which is a good pointer from this yard. If solid in the market I want to be on her!

RACE 9 No.6 Winter Bride

The Group 2 Victory Stakes sees the return to Brisbane of the dual Everest winner Redzel who is sure to go around a short priced favourite. Whilst he certainly has the score on the board I’m just not so sure he’s going as well as previous campaigns. This mare from the Edmonds yard found the wrong part of the track latest yet held down 3rd, might just cause an upset.
