Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on April 8, 2022April 8, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.9 Knight Mariner Looked to have found a perfect race here two weeks back however luck deserted him on the turn and favoured the winner Slow Hands who shot through along the inside taking all the short cuts. They meet again here with Knight Mariner faring significantly better at the weights, he figures to gain the perfect run and with even luck should be turning the tables. RACE 4 No.6 Sayl Just missed out at Eagle Farm last Saturday when leading from the top of the straight to the beginning of the winning post! He just travelled so well in the run Andrew Mallyon had little option than to let him go earlier than he probably wanted to. Down in weight this doesn’t look all that much harder and he should again get the right run, happy to stick with him. RACE 8 No.7 Dreamreacher Gold Coast trained galloper who is absolutely flying this prep winning 2 of his past 3 (one here at Doomben) just missing out his latest in what was a terrific effort at Eagle Farm closing strongly in a race not run to suit at all. Freshened up dropping back in trip he will give a start once again however look for him to be powering over the leaders late. Quaddie 12, 9, 10 9, 12 7, 11, 12 10, 6, 8, 17, 14 Market Market
