Chris Nelson’s Doomben Best Bets Posted on March 27, 2020March 27, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 6 No.10 Lashoni Tony Gollan trained mare who was always travelling in the run when a winner at Doomben recently. All she needed was clear running and once jockey Baylee Nothdurft got to the outside in the straight the race was hers. She will give away a start from the gate however look for her to be charging at the end hopefully right over the top of the leaders! RACE 8 No.2 Qiji Phoenix Can run time this one which he showed scoring first up here at Doomben back in December. Although winless since he has placed on all bar one occasion and his fast closing second placed finish behind the flying Emerald Kingdom two starts back was in a very fast run race. Feel he’s a better chaser from the back and I’ll be looking for him right down the outside late RACE 9 No.7 Command ‘n’ Conquer Unbeaten 3yo who although facing strong opposition tomorrow can extend his record to 3 starts for as many wins. He sat 4 deep without cover at Toowoomba when scoring easily before parking almost as wide when winning a recent midweeker at Doomben charging away from his rivals at the top of the straight. The time clocked was easily Saturday level suggesting he can measure up here! Quaddie 4, 5, 6, 10 2, 6, 13, 16 2, 14, 16 7 Market Market
