Scott’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on October 26, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SONNEN is racing extremely well and while he has a numerically poor Ascot record a large proportion of those results were out of his control. ALREADY FAMOUS backs up from a gallant effort when lumping a big weight. TRAP FOR FOOLS gets in with a postage stamp weight and should find the front. COULEUR BIZARRE was luckless in Bunbury. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – SONNEN WIN Race 2 FLOYD picks himself with his current form. He may have to sit outside the lead here but he a very capable sprinter. RECOILED is hard to catch but back to Ascot he normally improves. CUANZO ran well first-up at Northam but this is tougher. TENTERDEN will look to use the inside gate to his advantage. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – FLOYD WIN Race 3 SHOWCASE is undefeated and from the gun alley should get every mortal chance to keep that record in tact. KISS BANG LOVE gets in under the radar to an extent. Her efforts against top line 3 year olds have been sound. THREE SECRETS could find the front with the blinkers added. ROGANELLA was disappointing on face value at his most recent. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – KISS BANG LOVE PLACE Race 4 SEE ME SIZZLE is a different horse when he allowed to stride out in front. Expect he will be ridden aggressively from the gate and go close. STAR VALUE lumps a career high weight and steps out to a mile for the first time but he is talented. REVEILLE hit the line hard at Bunbury and looks to be screaming out for this trip. ALMASTER impressed albeit in a Geraldton maiden. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – SEE ME SIZZLE WIN SuperPick - Race 4 No. 1 SEE ME SIZZLE - Money Back Race 5 ACHERNAR STAR drops out of quality 3 year old company and falls into a very winnable race on the minimum. Drawn perfectly he should have no excuse. RED PADDY is incredibly consistent and hard to fault. GIGANTE will look to power across from the gate. GUNNAGO is rapidly going through his grades but this is by far his toughest test to date. Numbers: 9 – 3 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – ACHERNAR STAR WIN Race 6 PERFECT JEWEL is 2 from 2 and has won both races effortlessly. Have a feeling she is yet to be fully wound up and she should get a lovely run throughout. EPIC GREY did a fair bit of work first-up over the 1000m. He should position up nicely from the gate. OCEAN JEWEL won well in Bunbury and is all class. ART SERIES was caught off the track and kept coming gamely. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – PERECT JEWEL WIN Race 7 VITAL DANCER fought off all challengers first-up against the older horses from a horror draw. This field is essentially the same and he goes close again. CRUACHAN almost nabbed him fresh and gets another chance to run him down. KAAPANDER just needs to draw a gate and he will be winning one very soon. LA MOULINE faces her toughest test this preparation. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 1 – 14 Suggested Bet – VITAL DANCER EACHWAY Race 8 FINAL SALUTE was found wanting in 78+ grade when settling a long way back. He should end up in the three wide train rounding the corner and get his chance. CONSEATED looks like she is ready to tackle a 1400m event. WAR JEUNE likely parks outside the lead and is both strong and honest. KEY TO FAME is well weighted after the claim. Numbers: 7 – 10 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – FINAL SALUTE WIN Quaddie (Races 5 – 8) 1,2,3 1,2 10 1,2,7 Bet Now
