Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on July 2, 2026July 2, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 RESOLUTELY looked smart at the jumpouts and was beaten by the eventual Golden Slipper win on debut at Cranbourne, if she’s wound up for the 1200m fresh she may prove a class above. Stablemate STARS OF DOM had every possible last start and must be a query at 1200m although does have race fitness on her side. VIVID STORM finished well to win at Caulfield Heath, another race where the form is suspect. ONE DAY AT A TIME is a progressive type, again the 1200m is a worry. Selections: 7,4,1,3 Suggested Bet: RESOLUTELY win RACE 2 Even race with a modest speed. MARWOOBA switching states can sit handy from a low draw with KO PHANGAN they look the most likely speed influences, FONTEIN JEWEL ran out the 1400m strong enough to suggest the mile will suit, she has the fitness on her side and course experience. FRANKEL’S WORLD out to a mile is logical, does go synthetic to turf which may help. STAR OF MACEDON also suited out to a mile. Hard to separate a number of runners. Selections: 2,1,4,3 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 3 Another even race, this time for the fillies & mares. The fit and in-form DUCHESS ZOU is the starting point in the race, she put together consecutive wins before being run down late last start, she thrives on heavy ground and the forecast is favourable. STYLISH is hard to knock and started the campaign in positive fashion, showed a nice turn of foot to put the race away here last start this is no harder. FANCIFY is third-up for the new stable and deserves respect. Selections: 4,6,1,5 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 4 This appears a set play for KINGS REFLECTION after a gap between runs at Swan Hill then charged home here at 2000m last start, up in distance suits, hard to beat. SUNSPRITE brings a different set of form lines coming down from Sydney and worth respecting, lands in a good spot from the middle draw. THUNDERBOLT WAY steps out of maiden company but can handle wet and has a positive racing style and is on the up for a stable which is flying. BRILLIANTEZZA is building a good profile, overcome a vet issue to score last start. Selections: 14,13,12,5 Suggested Bet: KINGS REFLECTION win RACE 5 Modest tempo expected, who can sprint best will likely come out on top and Grahame Begg holds a strong, two-pronged attack. DE BERGERAC beat key rivals here last start and can win again, if she brings his best which is sometimes optional. SA visitor LINGANI looks suited on the speed amp and would appreciate any rain on the day, she’s fit and ready to win again. LOSESOMEWINMORE disappointed when fave here last start, just plugged away from the 400m, he’s better than that and drawn out. Selections: 2,4,1,6 Suggested Bet: DE BERGERAC win RACE 6 WUDDZZ is a gun wet tracker, more speed than expected saw him finish over the top at Morphettville last start, he needs rain on the day to be most effective. VEGAS JACK is the unknown quantity, he just keeps winning and taking all before him, hard to fault. THE WESTERN FRONT is also racing in great heart and suited by the 2500m. An outsider in CAPTAIN ELECTRIC back in form deserves to be kept safe at a price. Selections: 8,4,2,9 Suggested Bet: WUDDZZ each way RACE 7 AL DUCA maps to get every possible favour to win the Championship final as the sole leader. ELECTRIC IMPULSE may find herself in a pack with others trying to hold a forward spot. She was in the wrong spot at Swan Hill and excels on wet ground and loves Flemington, she’s a winning hope. JIMMY THE BEAR won this race last year and is arguably going better, inside gate is niggly. SEAFALL has found consistency and is in good form if willing to trust. Selections: 3,8,1,6 Suggested Bet: Quinella 3 & 8 RACE 8 Speed should be on early, CHAINS OF LOVE the NSW visitor is an exciting sprinter and no doubt targeted towards this rich prizemoney race. Jamie Melham will have her in a handy position ready to strike. WISE INLAW is a good straight track horse, if the inside is no disadvantage he is among the key chances, RECUPERATO loves the straight and has drawn to advantage charging at them late. BLETHYN took a while to get going last start he finished off well just needs to be closer this time. Selections: 13,2,3,5 Suggested Bet: CHAINS OF LOVE win RACE 9 Tough finish, wide in the quaddie. The market may come for CLEVER TREVOR again, he’s placed to perfection this campaign and has been backed accordingly, this looks a harder assignment. LUCKY LUCKY BOOM is ready to win after three runs in this campaign, expect him on-speed and should take catching if left alone. FLYING DONE will join for company and they should pair off in front. OBVIOUS enjoyed a soft run to win running away here last start, stable airborne, similar race and another hard to fault. Selections: 7,1,5,3 Suggested Bet: Exotics Market Market
