Glenn Ingram’s Tuesday Flemington Preview Posted on November 2, 2025November 2, 2025 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 Two standout performers from the jumpouts at Flemington. CARNEVALE and DIAMETER, they followed each other around in their latest heat with little separating the pair. The former has shown more early speed at the jumpouts and is trained by the leading juvenile stable in Victoria this season. The latter appears set for a big debut after showing sharp improvement between two heats. SIMPLY STEFFI was a cheap yearling buy and has looked good in all of her three lead-ups for Clinton McDonald, her stablemate TALES OF TIME was given a soft time in his one and only short course jumpout, a smooth-moving colt by Pinatubo. Selections: 4,5,13,7 Suggested Bet: CARNEVALE win, Quinella 4,5 RACE 2 BRAVE MISS is in career-best form and has plenty of time to get across and take up a forward position, as she did when winning in fast time at Cranbourne last start. MAKDANE had the option to lead and chose not to at Caulfield last start, perhaps an error, again drawn the ace marble, expect him holding the front and the fence. PARTY CRASHER rose sharply through the grades in his 1st race preparation for Michael Hickmott, his fresh run was plain, his trials and jumpouts suggest he’s a superior wet tracker and did win second-up last time in. GIGGENBACH is on the improve with back-to-back wins, well drawn, this is much harder. Selections: 7,3,10,14 Suggested Bet: Quinella 3,7,10 RACE 3 ZENTORNO is on the quick back-up, impressive beating a weak maiden field first-up at Mildura, then a noted drifter second-up buried rearwards on the fence on a leaderish track and found trouble. Rise in distance suits, a significant class rise but worth a spec at odds in a year where the 3YO’s have been disappointing. DIFFERENT GRAVY comes to this via a Swan Hill maiden win and was then game in defeat with the race shape against in the Hill Stakes at Morphettville. Mark Zahra is a key rider booking, leading chance in a thin race. OBVIOUS couldn’t get into the race at Caulfield behind a smart one and can settle closer this time around with a good draw on a softer tempo. CHAMPAGNE HERO comes down from Sydney with Waterhouse & Bott, B Shinn a key booking and bred to handle wet ground. Selections: 10,4,2,3 Suggested Bets: ZENTORNO 1 x 4 & multiples with 2,3,4,10 RACE 4 PALLATON is extremely well-placed switching states coming through stronger races and without luck his past two. The drop back to a 1000m is in his favour and provided he handles the straight track he should have the class to be winning. STREET ARTIST has carried a boom but had an interrupted prep, heavily-bet off a break at Bendigo and did enough to win, another gap between runs and a good jumpout since so fitness no issue. WINTERY is an improving filly this campaign, a sharp class rise last start and was game in defeat, likely to be in the right spot drawn out wide. GOLDEN HORIZON crosses the border, beaten by a smart filly fresh and redeemed himself second-up, racing well for this tougher assignment. Selections: 2,4,12,3 Suggested Bet: PALLATON win RACE 5 TRAV the visiting Kiwi was in super form prior to arriving and rocketed through the line in the Bart Cummings. Connections arguably pulled the wrong rein going to MV, not his style of track and a forgive effort at the rear. Returning to Flemington at a distance range he can be effective gives him a winning hope at odds, drier the better. LITZDEEL was enormous in defeat this course & distance in the St Leger last prep and has returned in a similar vein, third-up now, ready to peak. GOLDEN CENTURY is on the up and ran above expectations at Caulfield making ground from the rear and pushed wide in an on-speed dominated race. Bigger track suits. DON DIEGO DE VEGA is on the quick back-up from the Bendigo Cup, deserves respect. Selections: 2,9,10,3 Suggested Bet: TRAV 1 x 4 RACE 6 Lack of speed makes this a tricky affair. Outstanding return from SAINT GEORGE in the Seymour Cup attacking the line from the rear off 49 weeks, he appears to have improved in his 2nd Australian prep which is common with the imports. MAJOR BEEL is the likely leader and can be rated to win off the inside draw with a favourable weather forecast. ATHANATOS rarely runs poorly, drops in grade where he can race handy to the speed, last 100m will test him and unknown on any track worse than soft. UNSPOKEN ran a game 2nd in a listed race here last campaign at the trip, B Shinn can have him close to the speed to negate the weight. Selections: 5,4,6,1 Suggested Bet: Box Trifecta 1,4,5,6 RACE 7 VALIANT KING has improved significantly this campaign since the blinkers went on at the jumpouts and on race-day winning the Bart Cummings off a freshen then a checkered run from last into the placings in the Caulfield Cup. Weighted to win, drawn a middle gate, hard to see him not fighting out the finish. HALF YOURS was tested severely in the Caulfield Cup, the fast pace made it a true staying test and he received a good ride, he found a way, on trial at two miles. ONESMOOTHOPERATOR has a sense of timing, arrogant in the way he finished off at MV and can only improve from the run. BUCKAROO takes his spot, is hard & fit and puts himself in winning positions, needs this run at a solid gallop to be winning. Selections: 24,14,16,2 Suggested Bet: VALIANT KING each way RACE 8 Very even contest for the 3YO’s without a standout. LUDLUM debuted in a strong maiden at Ballarat and was impressive in defeat then followed it up when heavily-bet to win at Seymour, 1400m at Flemington appeals. KATSUMI OROCHI debuted for the new stable at Pakenham and did enough to win, he has upside, another drawn wide and should get his chance with an expected strong tempo up front. BURMA STAR brings different formlines and will hoping for rain. RIPLEY comes through the right race the Gothic Stakes and form out of it has consolidated further with the Coolmore winner TENTYRIS, a tricky barrier to overcome. Selections: 15,11,8,13 Suggested Bet: LUDLUM each way RACE 9 SURFIN BIRD is on a rapid rise and a high rating winner at Caulfield in a BM70 last start. She is well-placed for black type success aiming up where she gets a plum draw and an ideal map to keep winning. GUMDROPS was in a winning position first-up at Caulfield and has been back to the jumpouts since, an obvious threat. ELECTRIC IMPULSE is a good wet tracker and was impressive returning to the jumpouts at Burrumbeet off a fractured pelvis, if close enough to the speed she can run into the money at odds. FANCIFY has a horror draw, she does have gate speed to get OSL and give a sight. Selections: 15,10,7,1 Suggested Bet: SURFIN BIRD win RACE 10 Brutal finish. The speed map is unclear. SABAJ was in work a long time for the new stable and slow to come to hand at the jumpouts, he was set a task fresh up in the G3 Silver Eagle and was luckless in the straight. Back to benchmark company with a good draw he will take beating. A wet track is an unknown. PERSIAN SPIRIT is a known quantity on wet tracks and is having a career-best campaign, horror draw. RHEINBERG is a big watch making his debut for the Bedggood stable, looked impressive winning on a heavy track at Cranbourne jumpouts, another with a tricky draw, recapturing his early form he’s right in this. VERDAD and B Melham combined for two wins last prep, he’s jumped out in a similar vein. Selections: 8,12,6,1 Suggested Bet: Multiples with 6,8,12 ROUGHIE: R5#2 TRAV Market Market
