Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 19, 2024June 19, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 1 No. 1 Premium Star Promising youngster who is drawn to get a proper look here. Super in the maiden heat then no luck at all in a messy final when he and others were kept wide and checking while the winner got the early Xmas present with the run through on the fence. That was the end of his chances but stuck on well. Will be hard to beat here if he gets clear running now. Race 2 No. 4 Rapido Rhapsody Has clearly been prepared properly for his first up assignment judging by his trial with the kennel mate which was very good. Looked to do everything right from box rise and again showed why the trainer doesn’t just toss them in until they are well and truly ready. Always a question with race conditions etc but the talent and schooling are obviously there. Race 4 No. 6 Raven Classified and No. 8 Esperance Ace The 6 is the best smokie of the night and I wouldn’t be surprised if they come for her by the time markets have settled. Spat out of it last week from a middle draw when trying to punch through and wasn’t in it after that. Gets a better map here and could spear over and lead throughout. The 8 is the best boxed runner all night and stays right off the track in his races. Can run good time and when he steps he is always in the finish with a clear passage. Major threat. Race 7 No. 2 Queue Khan Box rise determines his chances. Has a stack of ability but is extremely hot and cold although injuries have played their part in that. When he’s on he is very good and can explode early and go all the way. Gets his chance here and just needs that good step. Race 8 No. 6 Roseanna Gundi Her form says no but there have been genuine excuses in a few of those and the map is much kinder here this time. Track and trip form also steady but she is capable and could stun these if she holds her spot outside here. EW prospect with a clean first section. Race 9 No. 4 Trendy Miss and No. 6 Extreme Mac The 4 is running out of easy company and needs to be doing something here in the winning department. Not sure there is anything else for her if she doesn’t put these away. The 6 is enigmatic and you just need to catch him in the right mood but he can also put himself into a striking position and do same damage in the run home. Both need trust but they are the best two in the race at their top. Race 11 No. 3 Expediential and No. 7 Charlie’s Harley The 3 will begin fairly again but he’s getting into things much quicker now and just needs to navigate that wide passage he likes to the first turn. Can drop on these hard in the run home. The 7 will look for the arm and his best step is a lot better than any of these and he’s hard to get past when he leads solo. Form is steady but he’s much better than that. Race 12 No. 4 Frantic Phyllis and No. 8 Wise Barra The 4 has been in the black book for a few weeks and she is very close to a breakthrough. Ran out of her skin last start in tough company and she will again look threatening here. The 8 is the one she has to worry about the most. Her best would see her perfectly drawn and spearing out to lead all the way. Has been off her game her last couple but she has everything set for a return to form here and she’s the one to beat if she arrives ready to rock. Market Market
