Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 2, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 THE CODE BREAKER (1) has a losing sequence of ten but he drops considerably in class tonight and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. CLASSSIC CHOICE (2) will be prominent throughout from this draw and should be in the finish. COOPER (10) goes up in class on his last start Narrogin victory but is drawn to get a nice run behind the favourite and looks a good place chance. MACHNIFICENT (7) has the ability to win a race of this nature but the speed map looks against him here. Tips: 1 2 10 7 Suggested Bet: THE CODE BREAKER (1) to win. Race 2 STENO (3) led throughout to defeat Wonderful To Fly here two starts back and will be hard to beat if she finds the front. ACHARNE GIRL (7) has won all three starts this time in and must be considered but is awkwardly drawn. MONTANA GLORY (1) has been racing well in weaker company and the rise in class is offset by her perfect draw. BORN TO BOOGIE (10) has finished just behind the placegetters at her two starts back from a long spell and should be ready to fire. Tips: 3 7 1 10 Suggested Bet: STENO (3) to win. Race 3 ROCKET CITY (5) is racing consistently and will appreciate the drop in class after finishing midfield in the Western Gateway. HOTLY PURSUED (7) has two wins and two 2nds from his last four starts and can overcome the wide draw. CROWD CONTROL (2) finished less than 10m from the winner in the Western Gateway and will be prominent throughout. LOMBO MITCHINSON (1) has been racing without luck but can be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 5 7 2 1 Suggested Bet: ROCKET CITY (5) each way. Race 4 MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) looked sharp when a first-up 2nd to Diego here last week and is clearly the one to beat tonight. CHAL PATCH (2) was a strong winner here last week and should make his presence felt again. ALCOPONY (1) hasn’t had much luck in his last four starts but looks a great place chance from the pole. BLITZEMBYE (3) is racing consistently in this class and won’t be far away. Tips: 6 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) to win. Race 5 NEVER ENDING (11) has won 12 of his 13 career starts and is clearly the one to beat again despite having to overcome a back line draw. SKYLOU (1) bounced back from one disappointing run with consecutive victories and should give a great sight from the pole. IM THE BLACK FLASH (12) is now a reliable 3YO who is racing well and is drawn to stalk the favourite throughout. MISTER SMARTEE (8) looked the main danger to NEVER ENDING (11) before the barrier draw but will now need some luck in running. Tips: 11 1 12 8 Suggested Bet: NEVER ENDING (11) to win. Race 6 MAJOR EXPRESS (11) has won both starts since resuming from a 28-month absence and looks the one to beat despite the back line draw. OCTOBER REIGN (1) has finished just behind the placegetters in his last three starts but led throughout here in September and should give a sight from the pole. VINTAGE BLU (4) is racing consistently and has the strength to push forward at the start and still be in the finish. BEE JAYS BOY (6) ran a nice 3rd to Im the Black Flash in quick time at his last start but is drawn awkwardly. Tips: 11 1 4 6 Suggested Bet: MAJOR EXPRESS (11) to win. Race 7 EL CHEMA (2) couldn’t get into the race at his first run back from a spell but will settle in a prominent position here and will be hard to hold out at the finish. LAMANDIER (1) has ran nice 3rds at his last two starts and should give a great sight from the pole. OTIS (6) and MASTER PUBLISHER (7) both drop in class and can make their presence felt but neither are suited by the sprint trip. Tips: 2 1 6 7 Suggested Bet: EL CHEMA (2) to win. Race 8 CASTELLA DELLAQUA (8) couldn’t get into the race at her last start but her previous form was very solid and she is capable of overcoming the wide draw. SPIRITOFANANGEL (1) was crossed from this draw when a close-up 3rd at her last start and looks a major player again. ALLAGLOW (6) defeated CASTELLA DELLAQUA (8) and SPIRITOFANANGEL (1) two starts back and must be considered again. UNLUCKY (4) has finished 2nd at her past two starts and should make her presence felt. Tips: 8 1 6 4 Suggested Bet: CASTELLA DELLAQUA (8) each way. Race 9 LONGREACH BAY (2) has been racing in stronger company since an upset Bunbury win and he will give a great sight here if he steps cleanly at his first attempt from the stand. EXTRAORDINARY MARY (4) hasn’t had any luck in her last three starts but she loves the stand and can improve sharply. MIDDLEPAGE (9) should be fitter after two runs back from a spell and is suited by the small field. AMERICAN BULLITT (8) has a nice turn of foot and can be dangerous with the right cart into the race. Tips: 2 4 9 8 Suggested Bet: LONGREACH BAY (2) to win. Race 10 DARDY BOY (1) has been placed in three of his past four starts and should lead and give a great sight here. HIGH PRICE (10) has had to work too hard at his last two starts but should enjoy a softer run here and is an obvious danger. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (4) is first-up after a long break but has trialled nicely for his return and must be considered. CUT N RUN (8) is first-up without a trial but raced well last time in so monitor the betting. Tips: 1 10 4 8 Suggested Bet: DARDY BOY (1) to win. Market Market
