Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on January 22, 2021January 22, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 22nd January 2021 Race 6 – No. 1 Takers To Vegas Out of form and takes on some stiff opposition but a long way down in grade and has her favourite draw. Recent winning times over the trip have only been fair but can bob up at juicy odds if her more fancied rivals find trouble. Race 7 – No. 4 Quartararo Better suited over longer but will be aided by the small field and vacant draw to his inside. Will get back early but possesses a powerful finishing burst and will prove hard to hold out if he finds open air rounding for home. Race 8 – No. 4 Aston Peroni Has had plenty of admirers since coming to WA but has yet to finish closer than 3rd in three local runs so far. Has had excuses though and is worth giving one more chance to find the top of the podium. Each Way: Race 4 – No. 3 Mild Marcus Stepped back up to the 490m after mixing form in tougher over this trip, finishing a game 3rd in a Dawesville Cup heat last week. Better suited out wider but if he can find the rail early, he’s more than capable of giving this a real shake at Each Way odds. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.6.8 / 1.2.3.7 / 2.3.5 / 1.2.4 $50 for 34.72% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 23rd January 2021 Race 1 – No. 7 Try Catch Me No luck when squeezed out of contention early in his only run over the trip a month ago. Gets his favourite draw in his return and should give this line up a run for their money. Race 4 – No. 3 Cindy’s Oliver Charged home from last in a small line up to go down by half a length in 29.82. Third up tonight so should be rock hard fit now and can go one better with a smiliar effort. Race 11 – No. 1 Overbite Versatile chaser who has saluted in 5 of her past 8 with 4 over multiple distances. Drawn well and should be fighting out the finish once again. Each Way: Race 9 – No. 4 Harper’s Hero Found bother on numerous occasions when making his Cannington 520m debut. Was tiring a bit late but will be fitter for the run and with better luck, can go much closer. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 3.7.8 / 2 / 1 / 2.3.6.8 $12 for 100% Trifecta – Race 11 1/ 3.4.6 / 3.4.6 $6 for 100% First Four – Race 3 5.6/ 5.6/ 3.4.7.8/ 3.4.7.8 $24 for 100% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 24th January 2021 Race 4 – No. 4 Initial It Handy effort on debut in WA when doing his best work on the line for a narrow 2nd in 23.13 over 405m. Up in distance and looms as one of the main chances. Race 6 – No. 3 Just Terminal Out of form but right down in grade now after taking on FFA company at his past 4 starts over this journey. If he finds his early best, he can go all the way. Commands respect. Race 10 – No. 1 Bamsy’s Boy Back to his best with an all the way win from this very draw in country company last start. Produced a career best early sectional of 6.56 on that occasion and a similar jump can see him double up on victories for just the second time in his career. Bet Now! Bet Now!
