Race 1

FRANCO HARLEM (8) reads up well for his WA debut and has a good draw to follow through and looks to play a significant part in the race upcoming. IDEAL TITAN (7) has a tricky draw to work with but is highly talented and may look to come straight off and follow the newcomer every step of the way. LIVY ANN (4) will look to use her gate speed early and has options from there. LIANAKA (2) is a novelty chance with BETTER TOGETHER (6) who was a better run last start but faces a tricky draw again.

Suggested Bet: FRANCO HARLEM (8) to win.

Race 2 (Best Bet)

CANELO (3) looks well placed and was a good effort after his most recent run, looks a big chance to lead and win this. FIVE STAR KEVIN (1) is third up into the preparation and has been sound since returning, will run a bold race. CAMEL PLUS (5) needs some luck but is wonderfully consistent and looks a chance with BETTOR BE BUCKS (9) and GLOBAL HERITAGE (10) both capable but need some luck from their respective draws. ROCKNROLL JEWEL (7) is a novelty chance.

Tips: 3 1 5 10

Suggested Bet: CANELO (3) to win.

Race 3

DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (5) has good early speed and is a big chance to work to the top, he savaged the line last start and that shows that he is getting back to his better form and this grade suits. BLUE BLAZER (1) has the speed to lead but thought they might take cover given the danger on his back in BET ON THE RIVER (7) who is ideally drawn and will flash late. SHES A MARE (2) is a novelty chance but can’t do much work early and TUBBS FARQUHAR (8) and YAWOMA (9) both novelty hopes too.

Tips: 5 1 7 8

Suggested Bet: DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (5) to win.

Race 4

STELLA MAJOR (7) has a lovely draw and just needs a touch of luck and is racing well, if the gaps come, will be very hard to hold out again. VISITING HOURS (1) has the better draw and has options, has good early speed and can get into the money. SYNCHRONIZER (4) has some early speed and will be racing close to the action, starting to build consistency. SHECANPLAY (10) will be running on well, won’t get the luxury of leading from back there. EYE BETTER (9) will be running on.

Tips: 7 1 4 10

Suggested Bet: STELLA MAJOR (7) to win.

Race 5

THOMSON BAY (10) is getting closer to breaking through and the distance suits and will run a big race. MAJOR FREEWAY (11) must overcome the 80m but another one where the distance suits and is holding good consistency. SPUDMEISTER (2) should be getting back to peak fitness and could run a better race here. BOBBY WATERHOUSE (7) returns and must be kept safe. BETTERTHAN SECRET (5) can improve in this, prefer her at a shorter trip. GOGGINS (9) will be running on.

Tips: 10 11 2 7

Suggested Bet: THOMSON BAY (10) to win.

Race 6

Open race. APOLOGIZE (8) looks to be lifting nicely and profiles well in this, will run a bold race and the draw suits to see him run on strongly. THE FIRST CUT (10) is suited in this grade and will be running on strongly. DOUGS LEGACY (9) is capable but can mix his form. THE DARK NIGHT (7) needs a touch of luck but is racing well. VELVET SHADOW (1) moderately away is going to hurt his chances, place hope with BATAVIA WEST (2) and SAVE THIS DANCE (4) is racing well.

Tips: 8 10 9 7

Suggested Bet: APOLOGIZE (8) to win.

Race 7

GALVINSTON JOHN (5) will use his early speed and look to get to the top, good rolling type and will be hard to catch from that position. GOODONYA MATE (9) will be running home strongly, his form has been consistent, and the draw doesn’t bother as he is a get back run home type. BATAVIA STREAMLINE (1) nicely drawn and should be close enough to earn again. SPINNER OF YARNS (8) is consistent in this grade and looks a solid chance but lacks a bit of high speed.

Tips: 5 9 1 8

Suggested Bet: GALVINSTON JOHN (5) to win.
