Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on December 18, 2020December 18, 2020 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 18th December 2020 Race 3 – No. 7 Royce Monelli Produced his equal quickest first split for the year of 6.58 but couldn’t shake of Torza who stalked him throughout, ultimately going down by a length to her in 22.70. This is a bit easier tonight. Can go one better. Race 4 – No. 2 West On Locky Sparingly-raced chaser who makes his 405m debut from a favourable draw. If he manages to leave in a hurry and cross to the fence, he could prove a bit too strong for his rivals at the business end. Well worth following. Race 7 – No. 8 Chevy’s Entry Should find this a bit easier than recent outings against the unbeaten Sunset Spitfire. Can handle a wide draw and has raced well on numerous occasions over this trip in similar in the past. Rates highly. Each Way: Race 8 – No. 4 Speed Force Fitter for a 4th when resuming from a similar draw when covering plenty of ground throughout. Has performed well in tougher company than this a win would not surprise second up. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.6 / 2.7.8.10 / 1.4.6.8 / 1.4.6.7 $50 for 39.06% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 19th December 2020 Race 2 – No. 1 All Zipped Up Handy beginner who has saluted in his past three outings in red. Had excuses last week and is capable of making amends against this line up. Race 5 – No. 7 Le Jury Monelli Smart beginner who led them a merry dance when going all the way last week in 30.02. Capable of quicker and only needs to overcome the awkward draw to repeat the dose. Race 9 – No. 3 Rambo’s Boy Hasn’t won for a while but he has figured heavily in the minors on multiple occasions and against strong opposition than he meets tonight. Has also drawn well and looks set to recapture his winning best. Each Way: Race 7 – No. 7 Jackson County Gives his all week in, week out and has yet to disgrace himself over this trip and against a few of these. Will be doing his best work late and is capable of yet another podium finish. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.7 / 2.3.6.7 / 2.4.7 / 2.3.4.8 $50 for 34.72% Trifecta – Race 9 3 / 5.7.8 / 5.7.8 $6 for 100% First Four – Race 2 1 / 2.4 / 2.3.4.8 / 2.3.4.8 $12 100% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 20th December 2020 Race 2 – No. 4 Zipping Greta Led for a long way before finishing 2nd over 405m from a similar draw last start. May appreciate the change in scenery and can go one better with another swift jump. Race 11 – No. 4 Close By Backmarker who closed in strongly late for 3rd over the 275m from this draw last week in a heat of the “Dart”. A winner in just one of eleven over this trip but can cause an upset if the breaks go his way. Race 12 – No. 4 Atomic Rooster Will appreciate the improved draw for his short course debut. A multiple 380m winner with solid early pace and he should prove hard to run down if he predicts box rise. Bet Now! Bet Now!
