Race 1

SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (1) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd here last week. He gets his chance to lead tonight and should give a great sight. BETTOR BE OSCAR (4) looked the winner in the run but was nosed out on the line last week and should be right in the finish again. BABYFACE ADDA (3) has won four of his last five starts and is ready for the rise in class. MIRACLE MOOSE (7) charged home to be an upset winner over BETTOR BE OSCAR (4) last week and must be considered on that run.

Race 2

MARQUISARD (1) led and ran slick time when narrowly beaten by Mcardles Gem at his last start. He should get an easier time out in front here and is clearly the one to beat. MISTER BUSHIDO (3) ran on strongly from a backline draw when a close-up 5th here last week and is drawn to play a part tonight CROCODILE KID (10) has been placed at his last two starts and should enjoy a lovely run from his trailing draw. NAVAL AVIATOR (8) hasn’t had much luck of late and is drawn wide but does drop in class.

Suggested Bet: MARQUISARD (1) to win.

Race 3

AS HAPPY AS LARRY (2) has finished 3rd to Shockwave at his last two starts in far stronger fields than what he meets tonight. He is well drawn and is clearly the one to beat. JACK WILLIAM (11) didn’t have much luck last week but his previous form was extremely consistent and is the logical danger. BEE SEVENTEEN (10) was held up last week and looks a good place chance from his soft draw. AUSSIE DELIGHT (1) hasn’t been placed for over two years but wouldn’t surprise to be in the money from the pole.

Suggested Bet: AS HAPPY AS LARRY (2) to win.

Race 4

MADAME MEILLAND (2) has been thereabouts at her three starts back from a spell and looks the one to beat against this easier line-up from her perfect draw. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (7) is better suited when she races on the pegs but will be charging home if she gets the right cart into the race. HAS NO FEAR (11) hasn’t won since the WA Oaks almost a year ago but her latest effort had merit and she shouldn’t be far away. COUNTESS GRACE (10) should enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can run into the money if she sees daylight.

Suggested Bet: MADAME MEILLAND (2) to win.

Race 5

TALKMETOMEURMATTJESTY (7) charged to the front and rated 1.52.9 in winning here last start and a repeat performance will see him victorious again. ICEENOTHINK (5) was an impressive winner here last week and will be suited by the likely fast tempo. CHIAROSCURO (2) has finished 2nd in similar fields at his last two starts and should be thereabouts again. MY CARBON COPY (3) had the race put on for him last week and will find this harder but shouldn’t be far away.

Race 6

HOWARD HUGHES (1) won six on end in easier company before facing the breeze and finishing down the track in the Western Gateway. He looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to catch. MAJOR MARTINI (11) was a dominant winner of the Western Gateway and has shown that he is capable of overcoming a backline draw with his withering finish if needed. FRANCO ECUADOR (5) endured a tough run last start but looks to be able to get to the breeze tonight and shouldn’t be far away. PATRONUS STAR (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed.

Suggested Bet: HOWARD HUGHES (1) to win.

Race 7

GALACTIC STAR (6) has a losing sequence of ten for the first time in his career but still appeals as the one to beat here. He wasn’t disgraced when nosed out by Shockwave last week and will appreciate not meeting that pacer tonight. EL JACKO (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last for starts but should be right in the finish from the pole. VULTAN TIN (2) hasn’t had much luck of late and should be a big improver from his nice draw. JUSTASEC (4) goes up in class but has plenty of ability and shouldn’t be far away.

Suggested Bet: GALACTIC STAR (6) to win.

Race 8

ALWAYS AN HONOUR (7) has started favourite at his past four starts and won two of those events. He found the front and raced away for a comfortable victory at his last start and looks the one to beat again. SERGEANT OATS (3) has finished 2nd at his past two starts and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. ROCKNROLL WHITBY (1) has disappointed since recording a dominant Northam victory last month but can bounce back from the pole. MON LILLIES (9) is first up tonight but could cross to the front and give some cheek.

Tips: 7 3 1 9

Suggested Bet: ALWAYS AN HONOUR (7) to win.

Race 9

ONE FOR DAVEANDME (11) is in career best form and will be suited if there is a solid tempo. DENNIS (3) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away from his nice draw. OUR VIRTUOSO (8) hasn’t been suited by starting from the stand and then a backline draw at his two starts but returns to the front line and will be hard to catch if he can use his blistering gate speed to cross at the start. LA SULEIMAN (1) has options at the start and should thereabouts.

Suggested Bet: ONE FOR DAVEANDME (11) to win.

Race 10

BENESARI LANE (2) has faced the breeze and been placed behind Lady Jadore at her past two starts. This looks an easier assignment and she should prove hard to beat. SECRET REACTION (1) led throughout from this draw four starts back and she looks the obvious danger. STAR FOR ME (5) ran on fairly to finish 2nd at her only race start and should take benefit from that run. SHAKIRA BLUE (9) has trialled nicely for her debut but has a horror draw to overcome.
