Scott Embry’s Saturday Esperance Preview Posted on November 30, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SAMMY THE BOSS went close at his first start for the Helen Harding stable fresh in Esperance. Should be going close here and looks like getting the right run off the speed. NAZARETH can be hard horse to catch but looked to enjoy the Esperance surface. No excuse from the draw and Jade McNaughty looks like she’s about to start hitting them in the middle over the summer. FOXY ROYALE is always a places hope. CROWN CHOICE first-up can give a show. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – SAMMY THE BOSS WIN Race 2 LUNA ROSSA finds a new home in the care of Meryl Hayley. He has always promised to win a race and at a recent trial he showed a nice little turn of foot up the fence. Capable. SOBRERO hit the line well fresh behind the stable mate at opening meet. STRATUM PASS is the first race ride back for apprentice Chelsi Brown and should give her a wonderful chance of returning a winner. CITY RANSOM will keep on improving into the preparation. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 10 – 12 Suggested Bet – LUNA ROSSA WIN Race 3 THE CORNISH is on debut and showed glimpses at trials. Could sneak under the radar and nobody rides Esperance better than the Frenchman. Worth a speculation on debut. ALL MAN was good enough first-up to go one better here. GAME ON DUDE was well supported on a number of occasions when in the care of Ross Price. KEEPER MEAN was very plain last start but can improve. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – THE CORNISH WIN Race 4 MOSCHARD seems to have worked out what the racing game is all about. Finally broke through on the quick back up in Kalgoorlie during the traditional annual race round and then won well at Esperance fresh. NORTH COL is in form and his trainer is known to put the rent money on from time to time so watch the betting. MAULDENS MILL is a bit hit and miss but with the right run can win. ROCKER CHICK drops out early and comes late. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MOSCHARD WIN Race 5 SIGNIFICANT STREAK showed a real X-Factor early in his career. Has been missing for a fair while but this is far and away his most suitable race since breaking his maiden. TRUTH AND LIES came with a big run and zapped talented rivals first-up. Deserving favourite and very hard to beat. EVEN MORE ALERT hit a purple patch at Belmont Park and should get it soft in behind the leaders. SOUTHERN WARRIOR an improver. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – SIGNIFICANT STREAK WIN Race 6 VIKING FORREST ran a cracking race in town at his most recent. Ran big races in Kalgoorlie late in the year and after the claim looks very well placed by an astute yard who could lob a trifecta here. PENALTY POINT was given every chance last start by an apprentice who looks talented. Senior goes on, she’s the danger. HEY BRO is a brilliant bread and butter horse. Would love to own him, gives 100% every week. WHERE’S WALLY burst onto the scene at Kalgoorlie but has gone off the boil. Will the real Where’s Wally please stand up. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – VIKING FORREST WIN Race 7 GALVESTON BAY has been a decent pick up for Mr Peter Fernie. Could be a big day for Jade McNaught and this looks another plumb ride. Drops in grade and this race looks perfect for him. HEAVEN’S GATE absolutely froths the Esperance surface. Big watch first-up. CARD KNIGHT is going well and can be a little lazy so the engagement of Autier is smart. RUSSIAN RIVER should be better suited at 1200m but going to keep the powder dry until he gets out to a 1400. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – GALVESTON BAY WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2 1,4,7 1,2,3 2,3,4 Market Market
