Scott Embry’s Friday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 15, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BOMBARDMENT is likely to jump close to odds on and looks awfully hard to beat. There is no speed in this field so he should either lead or box seat and is the one to beat. ROCKINIT as a nice trial and probably sneaks under the radar here. ONAPARA has had 23 cracks at it without saluting but will pick one up at Geraldton this campaign. PRINCESS SATAB was not that bad on Melbourne Cup day and is improving with racing. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – BOMBARDMENT WIN Race 2 SPHINX SECRETS has trialed well for his debut and should come across from an awkward alley and take some beating. Lead them up and shook them off with relative ease at Lark Hill at his most recent. MASTER SPLINTER is yet to show much on the track but the Hammarquist team are producing winners for fun at the minute. Going great guns. CHASING THE ACE finished third to The Velvet King and True Defender three starts ago, fair form for this. FLAMING GALAH never saw daylight at her only Geraldton trial. Looked to have plenty in the tank. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – SPHINX SECRETS WIN Race 3 PEARL GIRL will be sure to jump very short. Impressive on debut, booming winner in a Geraldton maiden second-up and then jumped $2.40 at an Ascot midweeker. Looks tough to beat. VITAL ASSET has run some nice races in his career and usually goes well fresh. FAIR EUGENIE should lead them up without a lot of pressure here and gets her chance to bounce back. SPORTING IMAGE has not been seen for a long while but trialed well for a new stable. Numbers: 10 – 8 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – PEARL GIRL WIN Race 4 TRADE TALK was the video replay of the day on Melbourne Cup day. He found dead ends every where he went in the home straight and went to the line under a hold. He can definitely turn the tables here. BARAKI BEATS is going brilliantly and really has enjoyed the change of scenery. Clearly the one to beat. SWEET ORA went well fresh in a far tougher race than this and after the claim has a winnable weight. MOSSERATTI can surprise a few first-up, trialed well and was stiff most of last preparation. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – TRADE TALK WIN Race 5 HOT STYLE looks the kind of horse who can shoot straight through the grades in Geraldton. His maiden efforts in town were excellent and then bolted in last start. Drawn to sit deep the trip and goes close. STANDUP’N’DELIVER was big last start and it would not surprise to see him supported at odds. KINTAIL has had no luck all preparation, held up at crucial stages and should have no excuse from the gate with the jock engaged. CORPORATE TRADER was storming late last start and again draws awfully. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 11 Suggested Bet – HOT STYLE WIN Race 6 AKIKO has found her race. Very strong effort in fillies and mares grade at Ascot first-up and then things have not gone right for her at her last two, both forgive runs. Leads and is extremely hard to run down here. FIELD OF VISION sat three deep the trip first-up and was still far too strong. This is tougher and he is drawn to sit deep again. BAY PUBLISHER and GOLDEN ACRES should both enjoy soft runs midfield and can figure in the minor end. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 10 Suggested Bet – AKIKO WIN Race 7 KARNATAKA has always shown staying ability and really did bolt in fresh. Sat deep the trip and kept coming, won with a leg in the air. If she can hold form then is the one to beat here. PROUD HISTORY could well be left alone in front here and has been going well enough to give cheek. BOLLINGER BOY finally broke through for a deserved win last start after getting the perfect trip in transit. Does it tougher with more weight here. GALAXY BLAZE made a long sustained run last start and was strong. Never far away. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – KARNATAKA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,4,7 3,4,5,6,7,10,11 1,5 3,5,6,7,8 Market Market
