Scott Embry’s Saturday Esperance Preview Posted on November 15, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 KEEPER MEAN comes from a race at York which has produced two subsequent winners and draws a gate to get every chance. This field lacks any sort of depth and hard to beat. TUCEPI has been around the mark for a long time and won’t see a much weaker race than this. LIVE FIRE ran a nice enough race back on the grass last start at York and can figure in the finish. ALL MAN was reasonable enough last start at Kalgoorlie and races fresh. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – KEEPER MEAN WIN Race 2 MOSHARD finally broke through at his most recent Kalgoorlie maiden assignment after running some stunning late sectionals since arriving at the Cambana Lodge. This race looks no harder and he has to be hard to keep out. MAULDENS MILL is the clear danger and a big winning chance. Efforts over the Kalgoorlie round were clearly good enough to win this. NORTH COL was trucked to Laverton for a soft kill by an astute trainer last start, this is winnable for him. ATARENZA finds another stable but on the right day has a nice turn of acceleration. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – MOSCHARD WIN Race 3 TRANSITIONAL is never far from the action and fresh without a trial might be his best chance to finally break through at start number 18. Has run 9 placings and always promised to win one. BALTASAR was probably harshly sacked by the Taylor team. Looks a nice pick up for Esperance and could take some catching if leading. HOT trialed well enough for his return to the races to be in the mix. ROGER THE DODGER is one who will be winning a maiden sooner rather than later in the region. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – TRANSITIONAL WIN Race 4 SAMMY THE BOSS knocked off Lofty Lad and bolted in first-up last preparation and kept fresh here might be the key. If reproducing that same sort of run as Northam in August should be hard to toss. SCOTTY TOO HOTTY mixed form last preparation but at best would be going close. TRUTH AND LIES teased punters at Kalgoorlie and was close to breaking through on a number of occasions. FOXY ROYALE is rarely far from the action but also rarely salutes. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – SAMMY THE BOSS WIN Race 5 PENALTY POINT raced well below her best at Kalgoorlie late in the season when taken up by the powerful Brown stable. They hold all the cards here and at best best ‘Penny’ would be winning. NASHVILLE CAT should be charging late and looks the big danger. Needs luck from the draw. HEY BRO is a grand old campaigner and has been a wonderful addition to their stable, never far from the action and tough as old boots. RUSSIAN RIVER is suited over further than this and should be winning races for new connections who like a punt. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – PENALTY POINT WIN Race 6 BELLS TOWER goes very well in this grade and if Renee Forrest can spear across from an outside gate and find a position over the speed he should be right in the mix late. NAZARETH has a quality turn of foot when he gets a soft run into the race, will be looking for a cart into it from the 600. CARD KNIGHT showed ability and bounced back to form late in the season at Kalgoorlie, can win this. PARADISE SQUARE should have no excuse drawn the inside. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – BELLS TOWER WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,5,7,8 1,2,3,4,5,7 2,5 1,3,4,8 Market Market
