Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on June 8, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 THE CRUEL SEA is probably a small query at the trip but his form looks simply too good for these and should kick start what looks to be a fruitful day for Glenn Smith (if his plane departs Perth that is). BURKINA resumed from a year off and was fairly disappointing, however, he is much better than that. SATURDAY SKIES will set the pace and can give a kick into the straight and fill a place. CAROB is hard to catch and another who is questionable at the trip but can fill spot in the first four. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – THE CRUEL SEA WIN Race 2 NOBEL SUSPECT impressed last start and the drop back to maiden grade together with Smith back in the saddle looks a winning formula. THE BLACK JEEP has showed a compelling turn of form since joining the astute stables of Jayden Thomas. That significant improvement can continue here and if the money comes, jump aboard the Thomas Train. BIG RANSOM has had his fair share of opportunities but continues to knock on the door. NISEKO DREAMING will be better for his first career start but was given every possible chance by Pateman. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – NOBEL SUSPECT WIN Race 3 SNITZ ‘N’ GIGGLES is going much better than numerical form suggests and from the inside draw could have the last laugh and cause a minor boil over on her return to the Goldfields. BOS TAURUS is ultra consistent and you know exact what you’re going to get. Gallant run behind the impressive visitor Night Voyage. MERVYN looks the obvious choice on paper and will again be incredibly hard to run down but if he cops any pressure this could be his acid test. CHANTEGO STAR normally improves with a senior rider jumping aboard. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – SNITZ ‘N’ GIGGLES EACHWAY Race 4 PEGATEGO is the iron horse of Kalgoorlie racing and continues to raise the bar. Happy to put my faith in him to sit outside the leader and carry the hefty 62.5kg to victory. SWIFT SIS has incredible form against tougher company than she meets here and is clearly the horse to beat. SENORITA BONITA should bounce straight to the top and will lead them a long way. RIKKI TIKI TAVI has been in winning form but is drawn very awkwardly here and will need some Pateman brilliance. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – PEGATEGO WIN Race 5 LITTLE FISH couldn’t have been more impressive winning the first two starts of his career in stylish fashion and can keep his unbeaten streak intact. ARCH TYCOON has been sent around at cricket score odds at both starts this preparation and both runs have been full of merit. NAZARETH was disappointing last start and can bounce back today without surprising. SPLASH was forced three and four deep the trip last start and that looks near on impossible from the inside this time. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – LITTLE FISH WIN SuperPick - Race 5 No. 1 Little Fish - Money Back Race 6 TRACKTA was forced into an unfamiliar role of leader at his most recent start. If Paterson can find cover from the wide gate then he is more than capable of being unleashed to circle them and win. ROJO CALOR made it 2 wins in 5 days with a dominant performance and there is nothing to suggest he cannot continue on his winning ways today. BJORN TO LOVE was one of the most eye catching runs you will encounter this season and if he can reproduce that effort he will be in this up to his eyeballs. FOR THE FALLEN knows how to bob up at a price. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 10 Suggested Bet – TRACKTA WIN Race 7 ALL SQUARE is one of the more progressive horses in Kalgoorlie alongside Pym’s Royale and Glenn Smith could well be shooting for a fifth winner on the card. Both wins have been authoritative and if Smith weaves the same magic he was able to produce last start he should chalk up win number three. SIRIUS PROSPECT will have to overcome a horror draw but best form is good enough. MEDICI VASE dropped the strapper in the yard and was able to sprint well to victory fresh. THE DELOREAN was game in that same race. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – ALL SQUARE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3,4,6 1 1,4,5 6 Bet Now
