Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 8, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: QUAYSIDE TRANSPORT 2YO MS PACE BLETCHLEY PARK (1) has led and won three of his four career starts with the defeat being a solid 3rd in quick time after facing the breeze. He should lead from the pole and will be very hard to catch. SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (3) comes to WA with solid form and his 20m Byford trial victory indicates that he will win plenty of races here. SPORTS CENTRAL (2) is drawn to get a perfect run and looks a great place chance. Ryan Warwick had the choice of three drives and has stuck with THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (5) so it must be respected. Tips: 1 3 2 5 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (1) to win. Race 2: CASH CONVERTERS MS PACE EL JACKO (8) overcame a bad barrier by the courtesy of a brilliant drive to beat Simba Bromac last start. He has won three of his last five and is capable of adding to that tally tonight. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (11) is racing with great zest this campaign, winning four of his seven starts. He drops in class tonight and should be thereabouts. OUR ZAK WHITBY (2) is a good frontrunner and will be hard to catch if he can cross the polemarker. EDEN FRANCO (9) is racing extremely well but has a horror draw to overcome. Tips: 8 11 2 9 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (8) to win. Race 3: RH TROTTER & CO MS PACE RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (1) is in career best form with two wins from his last five starts. He worked hard in the run when 6th here last week and should give a great sight from the pole. BETTOR BE LIVELY (2) led throughout for a comfortable victory at his last start. He is a classy type and looks the obvious danger. QTOWN RIP ROARING (3) is racing extremely consistently and should be thereabouts from this barrier. TRISON (10) is drawn to get a soft run in transit and can be placed. Tips: 1 2 3 10 Suggested Bet: RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (1) to win. SuperPick - Race 3 No. 1 Righteous Brother - Money Back Race 4: ELAN ENERGY MS PACE EAGLE ROX (7) has resumed from a long break with three wins from her five starts. She was ultra-impressive when she faced the breeze and raced away to beat Ardens Concord last start and is up to the rise in class. LETS CHASE THE DREAM (9) didn’t live up to expectations last campaign but monitor the betting at his first start after a break. MIGHTY MR SHARKEY (5) has plenty of ability and can play a part first-up. TUXEDO TOUR (1) lost all form last time in but has changed stables and would win this at his best. Tips: 7 9 5 1 Suggested Bet: EAGLE ROX (7) to win. Race 5: RSM AUSTRALIA ROTARY CLUB FREMANTLE MS PACE OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (5) is racing well, winning two of his last three impressively. He might have to face the breeze tonight but has the strength to salute from that position. BETTORS FIRE (6) has won three of his last five and is always a chance in this company. He might have lost a bit of his gate speed but is still a major player. THE BUCKET LIST (10) has finished strongly to run 2nd at his past two starts and can go one better if there is a solid early tempo. MACZAFFAIR (2) would be hard to catch if she could find the front. Tips: 5 6 10 2 Suggested Bet: OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (5) to win. Race 6: KARI FOREST MOTEL MS PACE CARTER MICHEAL (2) has been below at his best at his past four starts so he needs to be taken on trust. He has had a hood added and would win this easily if he shows his true form. ONEONTHEWOOD (10) is better known as a stand conveyance but should be thereabouts if he gets any luck from this draw. EXTREME PRINCE (11) was disappointing last time in but has trialled fairly for his return and can play a part. NEIGHLOR (4) has been tackling stronger fields and shouldn’t be far away from this draw. Tips: 2 10 1 4 Suggested Bet: ONEONTHEWOOD (10) each way. Race 7: GLOUCESTER MOTEL & RESTAURANT MS PACE WALKINSHAW (12) has resumed from a spell with two impressive victories and looks set for a great campaign. He has a back line draw to overcome but has the class to do so. MACHIATTO (6) led throughout in 1.53.7 two starts back and will be hard to catch if he finds the front. LUIS ALBERTO (5) was a beaten favourite again last week but will win one soon. ROBERT THE BRUCE (11) was a dominant winner in an easier race two starts back and can play a part from his trailing draw. Tips: 12 6 5 11 Suggested Bet: WALKINSHAW (12) to win. Race 8: AVANTI GLASS MS PACE BRAVO TEX (9) was a strong 4th at this track two starts back before facing the breeze when a strong Bunbury winner. He is drawn poorly tonight but looks to have a class edge on his rivals and is suited by the staying distance. MACHRIE (7) has been racing in stronger fields and should be charging home tonight. FIVE STAR LOOKA (2) led throughout in slick time in April. He hasn’t found the front in his next six starts but could be a big improver if he finds the top. BREACH THE BEACH (6) will be fitter after two runs back from a break. Tips: 9 7 2 6 Suggested Bet: BRAVO TEX (9) to win. Race 9: AUSTRALIAN MARINE COMPLEX FILLIES AND MARES MS PACE GOTTA GO GABBANA (1) normally has to face the breeze in her races and is very hard to beat when she leads. She found that position when a comfortable winner three starts back and is the one to beat from the pole. DETROIT LILY (10) has won two of her last three and her turn of foot will make her very dangerous if she gets clear running late. PICK MY POCKET (3) is racing well and looks the other winning chance. SOHO CHANGELING (11) looks a place chance from her trailing draw. Tips: 1 10 3 11 Suggested Bet: GOTTA GO GABBANA (1) to win. Race 10: TEAM TROLIO HARCOURTS REALTY PLUS WESTBRED MS PACE CHIAROSCURO (6) is now in peak form and was a strong 2nd to Fanci A Dance here last week. He is capable of working in his races and should give a great sight. HANDSANDWHEELS (7) has been placed at his last seven starts and his first-up 3rd indicated he should win plenty of races this campaign. REAL ZEAL (4) was a solid 3rd at Pinjarra on Monday and will be charging home. LEFTRIGHTGOODNIGHT hasn’t had much luck lately but can be an improver from the pole. Tips: 6 7 4 1 Suggested Bet: CHIAROSCURO (6) to win.
