Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on May 18, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 YEAH YEAH YEAH doesn’t win out of turn but this is a field of 5 and with Kirby in scintillating form this is his best chance all preparation to win one. HE SAID SHE SAID should fire straight to the top and be hard to run down. CAROB is hard to follow and hard to catch but a change of hoop could liven him up. POETS PRINCE was no match for Where’s Wally but now that he has lobbed at the regions premier yard nothing is. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – YEAH YEAH YEAH WIN Race 2 NISEKO DREAMING is an interesting runner who may well be looking to find a home in Kalgoorlie. This is a weak maiden and purely on speculation putting him on top for the Provincial Prince. SAGREDO is extremely one paced and will need the right breaks. SIMPLE AS THAT was far from disgraced at his Kal debut. GOLDEN BONNEY needs further but the debut effort was not as average as it reads on paper. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – NISEKO DREAMING WIN Race 3 MYBAK always promised to win a maiden in the metro region when trained by SJ Miller. He now bobs up in Kalgoorlie and the engagement of Pateman is a sound move by his management. NOBEL SUSPECT was well supported on a number of occasions last preparation and can give a sight fresh. ICE ONE put in a belter first-up and a deadest shocker second up. He’s better than that. SUITS ME debuts against the older horses off a sound trial. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – MYBAK WIN Race 4 MERVYN is a Glenn Smith horse. He allows him to run and doesn’t pull the trigger until absolutely necessary. He will need to be 2 lengths clear at the hundred because he’ll paddle late. BADGE OF COURAGE should be the testing material and flooding home late. RACZYNSKI is not at her absolute best but she’ll run a consistent race. FOXY ROYALE swoops if they over cook the speed. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MERVYN WIN Race 5 NAZARETH was held up at crucial stages his last two starts and with Pateman aboard and back into a very weak sort of race he looks like he will be winning. Only question is what price he opens. INDIRIEL ran a blinder two starts ago and could find the front. SPLASH is more than capable on her day and worth including. LITTLE FISH romped in on debut but this is harder. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – NAZARETH WIN Race 6 VONUS has been reeling off incredibly strong late sections and back to 1100m is his go. Senior rider aboard, this could be his race. RIKKI TIKKI TAVI is always there abouts in the finish of the 70+ races in Kalgoorlie. He’ll fight it out again. PROHURST EXPRESS lumps a big weight but Glenn Smith offsets that plus some. SENORITA BONITA hit a purple patch in Esperance and goes well here too. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – VONUS WIN SuperPick - Race 6 No. 6 Vonus - Money Back Race 7 ALL SQUARE was something licked last start when the money came from trees and he was tough viewing for his supporters. Glenn Smith in my eyes is one of the States best and he’ll give it every chance. TRACKTA hit the line first-up and when they stretch him out over further will be getting the cash. CLOAK AND DAGGER was scratched from a winnable race to be saved for this. CHASER is getting close. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – ALL SQUARE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,3 4 1,3,6 1,2,5 Bet Now
