Race 1

FIRE AND RAIN won effortlessly at Bunbury when the blinkers were added. This is tougher but he can lead and run. SHE’S GOT MERIT was the eye catcher last start. FAIRTRUSIVE found a lot of trouble in the same race. GENEROUS CHARLIE trailed well but this is a handy line-up.

SATURIA backs up from a strong thousand metre race. Should box seat behind the leaders and give an eachway sight. ILLUSTRIOUS TYCOON is the one to beat, his debut 2 year old victory was sensational. COGNAC goes round a big price for a horse who has won multiple races. SUMMER’S DREAM next.

Race 3

DURENDAL has been excellent at both recent Group races. This is a big class drop and looks his WA breakthrough race. VOLKOFF is very well weighted for this race. IT’S IT can march along in front. CELEBRITY DREAM is going great guns but has a few things against her here.

Suggested Bet – DURENDEAL WIN

Race 4

MORE ACES has the necessary gate speed to position up outside the lead and from there has the class to win. GEE BOSS should lead them up and his first-up effort was very good. I AM INCREDIBLE box seats from the draw. CUANZO is consistent.

Race 5

GUNNAGO should get the best run in transit behind a genuine top end tempo and in a tough race I’ll side with him. WRINKLY is flying and his win last weekend was enormous. The query here is how much pressure he cops. TOUCH OF SILVER should get the pace on out in front which he requires to wind up. POLITICS next off a soft run.

Race 6

RAGAZZO D’ORO looks likely to land a gun spot in running and should be ready to win. NELSON’S FLIGHT either leads or sits outside and can run strong mid race sections. PINBALL WIZARD is going from strength to strength. RUSSIAN RIVER can run a race if he slots in midfield.

Numbers: 7 – 5 – 3 – 2

Suggested Bet – RAGAZZO D’ORO EACHWAY

Race 7

VARIATION may end up in the breeze with a distinct lack of speed in this race but his best is very good. ULMANN has blinkers added and may become the unlikely leader. SILVERSTREAM will be ready to pounce behind a slow tempo. STATE SOLICITOR looked flat on face value but may have been run off his feet.

Numbers: 1 – 2 – 9 – 6

Suggested Bet – VARIATION WIN

Race 8

STAR VALUE was huge in his first crack at a staying trip. There is not a lot of speed here and he should be right up on the pace. SAXAPAK is hard to catch but gets another opportunity here. ENTRECHAT was only plain last time out but previously very good. TOPPA DAWOZZA is ultra consistent in this grade.
