Greg’s Belmont Preview Posted on September 28, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper RACE 1 PRECIOUS MEMORIES has showed plenty of ability in her two career starts. She resumes with the benefit of a solid trial effort and if she can bring her best form she goes very close. INVINCIBLE WARRIOR makes his debut for the strong Jim Taylor yard. He’s been schooled up with 5 trials. RUNS TO PARADISE is a nicely bred type who has shown ability at the trials. MISS SOMEBODY looked good in her recent trials win. Numbers – 6 – 2 – 12 – 11 Suggested Bet – PRECIOUS MEMORIES WIN RACE 2 LORD DEVOUTLY broke his maiden with a blistering all the way win at Northam. He smashed the clock running a sub 56 seconds. He’ll try and burn straight to the front again and will take plenty of catching if he can repeat that performance. CAPTIVATED POINT has shown plenty of ability in short career. He wasn’t asked for much in a recent trial. JESTAJINGLE will tag the speed and has claims. MORE ACES will appreciate a strong tempo and finish strongly. Numbers – 8 -2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – LORD DEVOUTLY WIN RACE 3 CASH ON CALL resumes from a spell with the benefit of a soft trial win. He looks another horse who will progress through the grades quickly for the Grant & Alana Williams team. BIG CAROLINE looks the danger. Harvey goes on and expect her to be in the firing line early and be tough to run down. EXPRESS SNOOPER is hard to catch but if he switches on he has claims. FORTY FOUR RED next best. Numbers – 5 – 1 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – CASH ON CALL WIN RACE 4 This is the race of the day. VARIATION cracked his maiden with a determined win at Northam. He’s a horse on the rise and if he gets some luck from his wide gate he can win again. GLIMMER GIRL has looked quite sharp in her trials. JEFFERSON didn’t get the best of luck in his only start and the rise to 1200m will suit. MALILANGWE showed ability in his first campaign and was asked for little in a recent trial. Numbers – 2 – 9 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – VARIATION EACH-WAY RACE 5 KING LOUIE finally cracked it for a deserving maiden win at his most recent start and the manner of the victory suggests he can go on with the job. This is a very weak Class 1 and from gate 3 Pike will have him smothered up and ready to attack the line again. ALL SETTLED is close to winning another race. If he can cross from his wide draw he has claims. COME ON BOARD has form in stronger races than this. THE DEE NINE will sit on the speed and has claims. Numbers – 2 – 1 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – KING LOUIE WIN (SUPER PICK MONEY BACK RUN 2ND) RACE 6 I DONE IT drops sharply in class after finishing just behind the placings in the Boulder Cup and prior to that finishing a half length off Charlestown in the Apprentices Cup. If he brings that type of form to this weak midweek event he wins. CRAFTY RED is always finding the line. GRINDABELLA is consistent and always a chance at this level. SUNTRAPPER is a horse on the rise. Numbers – 2 – 7 – 3 -12 Suggested Bet – I DONE IT WIN RACE 7 PRYING TOM won his maiden well on debut before being simply outclassed in Saturday grade. This is a major drop in class and W Pike hopping back on is a big plus. ANDREINI improved out of sight last start after meeting solid betting support. Harvey dictating upfront assisted as well. He looks the danger. ECHOES IN TIME won well at Northam and he should get a lovely run from gate 3. BLACK GRAPE is a serial placegetter. Numbers – 3 – 2 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – PRYING TOM SAVE ANDREINI QUADDIE RACE 4 – 2, 4, 5, 9 RACE 5 – 1, 2, 8 RACE 6 – 1, 2, 7, 12 RACE 7 – 2, 3, 8 [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now!” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2016-09-28/pr” linkrel=””]
