Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on August 8, 2023August 8, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 WOLFY had no luck on debut when well supported and looks well placed back to maiden company and stepping up to 1300m. NEARING LIBERTY has moved well in recent jumpouts and looks suited at this trip on debut. GALLANT PRINCE has trialled and jumped out in good style. I EFF OH has race fitness and should make his own luck. AMIGO will be close to peak fitness third up and blinkers come off. Selections: 12,9,5,7 Suggested Bet: Wolfy to win Race 2 MAD MAX has shown speed in his jumpouts and appears suited at the short course on debut. PHARARI has been jumping out well and has attracted early support. MISS BLACK DIAMOND has race fitness and will likely make to speed. MISS WINSLET is another debutant to jump out well. Selections: 6,11,3,10 Suggested Bet: Mad Max each way Race 3 PRANCING QUEEN had no luck in a stronger race last time and should settle closer from a favourable draw. NOKBAH won impressively second go after some impressive trials and looks progressive. HISSY FIT will strip fitter after an encouraging return. CLOCK STRIKES and LACEMAKER are in the mix. Selections: 11,15,8,1 Suggested Bet: Prancing Queen each way Race 4 ZAYNUDIN and PACHINO clashed here last start and look the key hopes again. ZAYNUDIN has some potentially significant gear changes and should be at peak fitness now. PACHINO gets the benefit of the claim and is proven at the trip now. LIVE BY THE SWORD should also be approaching peak fitness following and encouraging run last time. LADY IN THE SKY has had a gap between runs but is racing consistently and may have been inferior ground at her latest run. Selections: 2,1,8,11 Suggested Bet: Zaynudin to win Race 5 Wide race. DIVINE DIOSA ran well enough in a stronger race first up and looks suited stepping up to 1600m. BOH RHAP is racing in great form and has been kept up to the mark with a solid jumpout between runs. COLOMBE D’OR has also jumped out between runs following her solid first up win. IGOTCHA looked a horse with plenty of upside based on his bet win. APOLLO brings some new blood from NSW and will strip fitter third up. Selections: 6,2,3,7 Suggested Bet: Divine Diosa each way Race 6 FRIGID won impressively stepping up to 1800m last time and looks hard to beat again. MARCHONS ENSEMBLE has returned in good form and looks suited getting out to this trip third up. SIR ROCKFORD is likely to appreciate dropping back to 1800m. IRISH ROCKSTAR should control the tempo and give a sight. JABBAWOCKEEZ is racing well but the likely good ground is a disadvantage for him. Selections: 3,1,2,5 Suggested Bet: Frigid to win Race 7 RHEINBERG was a late scratching due to a float incident recently but his jumpout leading into this run idicates he’s suffered no ill effects. He looks destined to contest better races during the spring and looks the one to beat. PLACE OF GOLD had no luck in the home straight last start and goes well on the fresh side. IMMORTALITY gets blinkers first time and should appreciate 1300m. HUGHES, HE’S HEAVEN and BRAVE STAR have claims. Selections: 8,10,12,11 Suggested Bet: Rheinberg to win Race 8 ETERNAL FLAME showed promise in her first campaign and has jumped out well to resume. NUNTHORPE has a similar profile resuming for he second preparation and has also jumped out nicely. REFRESHING was responsible for an outstanding performance after blowing the start last time. WELLIE BELLE measured up well here following her impressive maiden win. DISCERING may be suited coming back to 1300m. SIRUIS STATEMANT hit the line strongly behind GIRL first up and both have a case here. Selections: 9,1,11,10 Suggested Bet: Eternal Flame each way Market Market
