Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on February 13, 2025February 13, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 REVELARE shapes as an emerging staying talent and should relish 2000m on a big track. SHINY NEW DEEL was well backed when he tested Revelare last start and looks an obvious danger. KINGS VALLEY is another galloper racing through the grade in good style this prep. LE ZEBRA is some query at 2000m but will strip fitter third up. TARVUE doesn’t want it too firm but has good talent and racing early in the day should be to her advantage. Selections: 3,11,6,2 Suggested Bet: Revelare to win Race 2 SWORD OF LEGACY has been good at both runs to date, she should be suited stepping up to 1100m and handled the straight well on debut. AMMO, BLETHYN and BRAVE DESIGN are debutants to show enough at trials/jumpouts to warrant respect. SHINING SMILE has been well placed to date but has a fitness edge on a few and has also handled the straight well. Selections: 7,3,4,1 Suggested Bet: Sword Of Legacy to win Race 3 FANCIFY will strip fitter for her run behind a most impressive winner and can control the tempo. MIRAVAL ROSE was below her best in the same race but get Williams back aboard and should appreciate getting back to 1400m. WISHLOR LASS has trialled well to resume and has been effective first up. WROTE TO ARATAKI ran well in the same race as Fancify and others and can stalk the speed. Selections: 3,4,6,5 Suggested Bet: Fancify to win Race 4 ARQANA worked through the line well first up, she’s jumped out nicely since and will appreciate the extra 200m. SMOKIN’ PRINCESS is flying, she has the wide draw but has shown tactical versatility in recent starts. SAVOIR FARE can pull out a run on the fresh side and gets B.Shinn. MY BROTHERS KEEPER has trialled well since his first up run and is suited stepping up in trip. VERDAD and ZIRYAB have claims in a deep race. Selections: 12,2,4,14 Suggested Bet: Arqana each way Same Race Multi: Arqana (Top 2) + Smokin’ Princess (Top 4) Race 5 Competitive race. BOSSY NIC ran out of room at a crucial stage last start after an eye catching run down the straight prior. WIGGUM was solid down the straight with Bossy Nic and has been kept fresh for this. SHESALLSHENANIGANS beat Wiggum home two runs back and was beaten by an in-form galloper last start. EXTRATWO resumes with blinkers off and has jumped out well against quality opposition. VELOCE CARRO and MATERIAL DREAMS are in the game. Selections: 5,8,6,1 Suggested Bet: Bossy Nic each way Race 6 POISON CHALICE held his ground ok against quality opposition last start and looks well placed dropping in grade and rising in distance. CHORLTON LANE is fit, consistent and may appreciate coming back to 1400m. RISE AT DAWN had an incredible prep last time, he’ll make his own luck and has jumped out well to resume. JUST FOLK has had a freshen and a couple of jumpouts since his return behind a subsequent Group 1 winner. Selections: 9,4,6,2 Suggested Bet: Poison Chalice each way Race 7 ROYAL INSIGNIA coped well with the rise in grade last start and looks hard to beat again. HENLEIN has been jumping out well to resume with visors off and will be strong late. FEROCE has trialled well and the form around him is strong. SCARY is another that will be better over further but will be strong late. WONDER BOY will strip fitter third up and may be looking for 1400m. Selections: 3,10,6,11 Suggested Bet: Royal Insignia each way Race 8 Great race with some exciting three year olds clashing. SWITZERLAND was dominant winning the Coolmore in the spring and has trialled/jumped out well to resume. TRAFFIC WARDEN had excuses in the Coolmore and jumped out in good style with Switzerland. GROWING EMPIRE has also jumped out well, he started fav in the Coolmore and may have been at the end of his prep by then. SRETAN ANGEL and I AM ME looks the best chances outside the thee year olds. Selections: 11,12,10,8 Suggested Bet: Switzerland to win Race 9 ANOTHER PROPHET did more than enough against the boys first up and has the advantage of having that run under the belt. GOOD SORT has trialled well, she was luckless at Randwick behind Aeliana two starts back before having excuses here. QATARS CHOICE is a another with a race fitness advantage and was held up at crucial stage behind a promising one last start. MACEDON ROSE rises in grade but looks promising. CAPTURED BY LOVE, TOO DARN DISCREET and SNEAKY SUNRISE have claims. Selections: 1,8,9,10 Suggested Bet: Another Prophet each way Race 10 SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET was well backed late when resuming with a strong win. He’ll strip fitter and looks suited by a likely solid tempo. IS IT ME finally got the right run last time and also looks suited by a solid tempo. EUPHORIC has jumped out well to resume and brings an impressive first up record. LOUNGE BAR RUBI was luckless last start and can improve at big odds. PORTER is in career best form, he’ll be part of the speed and can give a sight. Selections: 9,3,7,5 Suggested Bet: Sunshineinmypocket to win Market Market
