Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on November 10, 2023November 10, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 VON HAUKE has plenty of upside. He raced a bit keen behind Euphoric at Geelong and gets a cross-over nose band back on. SEQUESTERED is building a handy record and the form around her in Sydney is holding up well. WATADEEL had the tempo against him last time and looks suited stepping up to 1600m. EXCELLERATION has run well first up over this course and distance previously and has been trialling nicely. FARHH FLUNG is fit and in-form. Selections: 6,7,9,4 Suggested Bet: Von Hauke each way Same Race Multi: Von Hauke (Top 2) + Sequestered (Top 3) Race 2 OUR LAST CASH was ok in a stronger race in Sydney and his straight form is hard to fault. IT’SOUTIME backs up from what has proved to be a strong form race last Saturday and also saves his best for the straight track. PARISAL may not have run the 1400m strongly last start and her form through Magic Time at her previous start reads well. GENERAL BEAU is yet to win at 1200m but has run some solid races and will strip fitter second up. MOWDOWN and ALSONSO won their maidens in impressive style at their latest runs and appear capable of measuring up. Selections: 11,2,5,4 Suggested Bet: Our Last Cash each way Race 3 QUICKSTER is still a maiden but looks to have well above average ability and didn’t have the best of luck at Group 2 level behind a smart filly last start. SCHWARZ blew his winning chances at the start last time, under the circumstances his performance was full of merit and he shapes as through 1400m will be ok. PANTELONE is racing in good form and also shaping as through 1400m will suit. SNAPBACK can push forward with a clean get away and should give a sight with blinkers back on. Selections: 7,6,3,1 Suggested Bet: Quickster each way Race 4 DUKE DE SESSA comes through the Turnbull and the Caulfield Cup and there has been merit in both those runs. LUNCIES may need some luck from the draw but will be at his top now. MURAMASA has returned in great form and gives every impression he’ll cope with 2600m. HEZASCHOCKA had excuses at Bendigo and is capable of improving. SO DAZZLNG didn’t have much luck at Moonee Valley and has a lightweight chance. Selections: 2,4,9,6 Suggested Bet: Duke De Sessa each way Race 5 DENY KNOWLEDGE stuck on ok chasing a strong tempo in the Expire Rose and may control the tempo herself here. She gives the impression she maintain a strong gallop at this trip. AMOKURA did enough first up, she’s a lightly raced mare with upside that is already a Group 1 winner. PEARL OF ALSACE brings strong NZ form and coped well with 2040m last start. STEINEM is right in the game on her best form and should be at peak fitness now. THALASSOPHILE is fit and consistent. Selections: 6,2,8,4 Suggested Bet: Deny Knowledge each way Race 6 IMPERATRIZ is in devastating form and should get the tempo up front to storm over the top of them. IN SECRET is a high class sprinter who loves racing down the straight and looks the main danger. ESPIONA will be charging late. ASFOORA is racing in great form and will give a sight riding the speed. Selections: 8,7,9,10 Suggested Bet: Imperatriz to win Feature Race Multi: Imperatriz to win + In Secret (Top 3 ) + Espiona (Top 4) Race 7 Terrific race despite the relatively small field. MR BRIGHTSIDE was no match for FANGIRL in the King Charles but bounced back with an outstanding performance in the Cox Plate. Fangirl didn’t have the best of luck in the Cox Plate so must have a case. ALLIGATOR BLOOD was brave in the Cox Plate and his form is impossible to fault. All three should cope with the drop back to 1600m and Mr Brightside gets the winkers back on. PRIDE OF JENNI ran them off their legs in the Empire Rose and expect her to employ similar tactics and give a sight. Selections: 1,2,6,7 Suggested Bet: Mr Brightside to win Race 8 DUAIS was luckless in the Cox Plate and one of her best performances was here winning the Australian Cup over this trip. WEST WIND BLOWS has been outstanding in his two runs here, dropping back to 2000m could be slight disadvantage but he has too much class to overlook. PROWESS is a classy mare who should be further improved by her second up win over 1600m. ATISHU won the Matriarch over this course and distance last year, she takes on tougher company but charged home over 1600m last Saturday and will appreciate the rise in trip. Selections: 9,4,11,10 Suggested Bet: DUAIS each way Race 9 Typically tough finish. KIN looks well placed in this grade. She generally fires first up and was given a fairly quiet time in a trial recently. ANILLA may be drawn the right part of the track, he handles the straight well and is fit and in-form. RAY MAGNERIO has returned in great form and impressed in an easier race last start. BEWS defeated Ray Magnerio at Seymour and is another to have handled the straight well. MORNINGTON GLORY won well in easier company second up from a lengthy break and should be further improved. MADAME DU GAST is a blowout chance if she gains a start. Selections: 9,2,10,7 Suggested Bet: Kin each way Market Market
