Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 12, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: BOOK YOUR NEXT EVENT AT GLOUCESTER PARK WESTBRED MS PACE BETTOR REWARD (8) was a brilliant winner of the 4&5YO Classic at Bunbury before striking trouble in the Pinjarra Cup. He was an impressive winner here two weeks ago and is the one to beat in this stronger field. AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (5) was placed at his first three runs back from a spell before recording a comfortable 14m win in easier company and must be respected. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (1) has been racing well from wide barriers and will give them something to catch if he can hold up. SOHO WALL STREET (6) is the best of the rest. Tips: 8 5 1 6 Suggested Bet: BETTOR REWARD (8) to win. Race 2: WESTRAL THE JOHNSON MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE GLENFERRIE ARCH (1) makes his WA debut tonight and should be hard to beat in a moderate line-up. She has been placed at 12 of her past 18 starts and has the perfect draw. ITS MY LUCKNOW (2) had a nice run when a good 2nd to Madame Croupier on Monday and should be thereabouts. AUCTIONEERS ELSU (4) ran on well in a stronger field last start and looks a player here. PASS THE MAGIC (6) disappointed last start but her previous form was good enough for this. Tips: 1 2 4 6 Suggested Bet: ITS MY LUCKNOW (2) each way. Race 3: $7 PINTS AT JP’S SPORTS BAR MS PACE EXTREME PRINCE (8) was a 1.53.3 winner at Menangle three starts back and warmed up for this with a solid 2nd in good time in a Byford trial. He is drawn wide but this field isn’t overly strong and he should give a great sight. FROSTYFLYER (6) extended his losing sequence to 11 when a strong 4th to Challenging and will be thereabouts again. KHUN RATHA (4) was a great 3rd to Bettor Reward two starts back and must be considered on that run. THREE KINGS (1) looks the likely leader over the sprint trip but hasn’t won for a while. Tips: 8 6 4 1 Suggested Bet: EXTREME PRINCE (8) to win. Race 4: TABTOUCH MS PACE BUNGALOW BILL (7) worked hard in the last lap and still hit the line nicely when 4th to Eyre Crusher last week and should give a great sight on an each way basis. SUPERIMPOSED (4) led throughout to record successive victories recently before running a 7m 6th in 1.54.7 and looks a major player. NEW WORLD ORDER (6) has the ability of the other pair but is having trouble finding the line with consecutive 2nds. JAMES GALLEON (3) is drawn inside the classier trio and can make his presence felt. Tips: 7 4 6 3 Suggested Bet: BUNGALOW BILL (7) each way. Race 5: RETRAVISION MS PACE EYRE CRUSHER (4) has resumed from a two year absence in fine form, facing the breeze and recording comfortable victories. This is a step up in class but he is getting fitter and is clearly the one to beat. CONDRIEU (1) blew the start when a solid 3rd to Bettors Fire last start and will give them something to catch if he does everything right. FRANCO RAYNER (10) is a lot better when able to lead but should enjoy a nice run here and is a winning hope. LISHARRY (2) broke through on Monday in an easier field and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 4 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: CONDRIEU (1) each way. Race 6: INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL HEALTH PRODUCTS WESTBRED 4YO & 5YO MARES FINAL SHEER ROCKNROLL (4) has been plagued by bad barriers in strong fields since a strong first up victory but draws nicely back against her own sex tonight and looks the winner. SEA CIDER (2) was heavily backed when an all the way winner at her first run for a new stable and looks the danger if she can find the top again. NOWUSEEMEGIRL (1) disappointed when leading last start but shouldn’t be far away from the pole. BETTOR BOA (8) is the 2nd best mare in the race but has been disappointing of late. Tips: 4 2 1 8 Suggested Bet: SHEER ROCKNROLL (4) to win. Race 7: EASTER CUP OHOKA PUNTER (12) recorded his 25th win from 53 starts at his first run for the Hall camp when he faced the breeze and raced away from American Boy. He has a 50m handicap tonight but the field is weaker and the 2902m journey is in his favour. GALACTIC STAR (7) has won two of his three starts since resuming and is the obvious danger if he can make the most of the 40m advantage he has over OHOKA PUNTER (12). ASSASSINATOR (4) and BETTOR NOT KNOWING (10) are both racing well in stands and can be placed. Tips: 12 7 4 10 Suggested Bet: OHOKA PUNTER (12) to win. Race 8: PRINCI BUTCHERS MS PACE ALL ABOUT PINK (2) is a sprint specialist and is always hard to beat over this distance when she can lead. The early stages will be crucial but she will be hard to catch if she finds the front comfortably. PADABING STRIDE (10) has been racing in stronger company and will appreciate the drop in class here. CHEVEYO (3) was less than 6 metres from the winner in better company last start and is drawn nicely. GUNS WITH COWS (8) is drawn poorly but finished a close 3rd to Campora and Estocada last start which reads well for this. Tips: 2 10 3 8 Suggested Bet: ALL ABOUT PINK (2) to win. Race 9: FOLLOW GLOUCESTER PARK ON FACEBOOK MS PACE EL HOMBRE (3) led two starts and sprinted home in 55.8 when a close 2nd before sitting midfield and finishing there in a stronger event last week. He is nicely drawn tonight and is clearly the one to beat. A FORCE IN ACTION (4) won four starts back and has been runner up at his last three and should be thereabouts again. BLINDING LIGHT (12) beat home EL HOMBRE (3) last week but will be giving that rival a start tonight. OUR JACCKA MARA (10) beat The Trilogy from this same draw last start and must be considered. Tips: 3 4 12 8 Suggested Bet: EL HOMBRE (3) to win. Race 10: CHOICES FLOORING MS PACE RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (5) impressed beating Sarah Goody at his WA debut before finishing a strong 3rd to Michael Joseph here last week and will give a great sight again. RUM DELIGHT (1) has battled bad barriers in his three WA runs but has been placed twice and will appreciate the pole draw tonight. WIMBALIRI (8) is racing extremely well but has a wide draw to overcome. THE STORM CHIEF (12) will be charging home and is a winning hope if the early tempo is solid. Tips: 5 1 8 12 Suggested Bet: RIGHTEOUS BROTHER (5) to win. Bet Now!
