Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 16, 2023November 16, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 JOEY JAMES (2) started at big odds but a ran a nice 3rd at Narrogin at his second start back from a spell. He should be approaching his best now and looks a good each way chance from his nice draw. LONGREACH BAY (1) has been unplaced at his last five starts but was a good winner in 1.55.4 before that and looks a big improver from the pole. HIGH PRICE (3) has been unplaced at his last six starts but should make his presence felt in this company. BEE JAYS BOY (6) ran on well to finish 2nd here last week and must be considered. Tips: 2 1 3 6 Suggested Bet: JOEY JAMES (2) to win. Race 2 FIVE BANGLES (2) led throughout in slick time here on Tuesday and she will be hard to catch if he she finds the front and can reproduce that effort. MIGHTHAVTIME (3) has finished 3rd in strong fields at her last two starts and looks a major player again. JOELENE (1) is drawn to be prominent throughout and should be in the finish. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (11) has been racing in stronger fields and should enjoy a good run from her nice trailing draw. Tips: 2 3 1 11 Suggested Bet: FIVE BANGLES (2) to win. Race 3 ROCKMYSTER (1) started from a wide draw and ran a nice 2nd here last week and should give a great sight from the pole tonight. PAUL EDWARD (4) only finished further back than 2nd once in his nine starts last time in and will be hard to beat if he is ready to go first-up. WHATARETHEODDS (10) caught the eye with a nice 3rd in a Lightning Lap event at his last start and is drawn to enjoy a soft run on the pegs. BRICKIES DREAM (11) couldn’t get into the race in the 4YO Classic at his last start but must be considered on his previous form. Tips: 1 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (10) each way. Race 4 STEEL THE SHOW (4) worked hard in the last lap and battled on well when 5th in the Pacing Cup here last week and will appreciate the drop in class. TENZING BROMAC (9) broke after the start and then worked to the breeze when a solid 6th in the same race and looks suited here. THE CODE BREAKER (1) couldn’t get into the race when 7th here last week but was an all-the-way winner from this draw before that should make his presence felt. MINSTREL (8) was an eye-catching 3rd in the Pacing Cup and loves the staying trip. Tips: 4 9 1 8 Suggested Bet: STEEL THE SHOW (4) to win. Race 5 LUCCA (1) had been racing in easier company but he impressed when he led and ran 2nd in the 4YO Classic and he should give a great sight from the pole tonight. YOURE SO FINE (10) was brilliantly driven to win the 4YO Classic and will be hard to hold out if he sees daylight at the right time. STREET HAWK (4) has resumed with two nice 2nds and he can go one better if he gets the right run in transit. TRICKY MIKI (7) has returned from a spell with two dynamic victories but has a tough draw to overcome here. Tips: 1 10 4 7 Suggested Bet: LUCCA (1) to win. Race 6 MASTER PUBLISHER (1) has been racing extremely well in stronger company and is clearly the one to beat against this line-up from the pole draw. LOUCID DREAMS (2) is a consistent type who ran a nice first-up 3rd and won’t be far away from this barrier. MR FANTASTIC (5) ran a nice 2nd here last week and has the gate speed to put himself in a prominent position early. SUGAR STREET (7) drops in class on his 5th to El Chema and he should be ready to fire at his third run back from a spell. Tips: 1 2 5 7 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (1) to win. Race 7 STAMFORD (1) was unplaced in his last five starts before going for a spell but resumes here for a new trainer with the hood added and he will be very hard to beat if anywhere near his best. MACHIFICENT (12) couldn’t get into the race here last week and the same scenario could unfold here but he does have a sharp turn of foot. FIREROCKFIREROLL (10) disappointed when 4th here after leading last week but looks a good place chance. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (3) has been racing in stronger company and can go forward at the start. Tips: 1 12 10 3 Suggested Bet: STAMFORD (1) to win. Race 8 JACKIE DANIELS (1) has a losing sequence of 18 but has been racing consistently and gets her chance to break back into the winners’ circle here. BETWEEN TWO THORNS (12) is an unreliable type but she is capable on her night and can surprise first-up. SPIRITOFANANGEL (4) finds it hard to win but she has been placed in four of her last five starts and should be thereabouts again. ALLAGLOW (8) worked too hard in the early stages when 4th here at her last start and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. Tips: 1 12 4 8 Suggested Bet: BETWEEN TWO THORNS (12) each way. Race 9 EXTRAORDINARY MARY (2) uncharacteristically galloped out at her last start but will be hard to beat here if she steps cleanly and finds the front. BELLEZZA NERA (4) has been placed in five of his six starts this time and looks an obvious danger. AMERICAN BULLITT (7) was a good winner against a similar field two starts back and must be considered. GEE SMITH (8) is a very consistent type who loves the stand and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 2 4 7 8 Suggested Bet: EXTRAORDINARY MARY (2) to win. Race 10 INFINITE MERIT (1) led throughout in 1.56.7 at his second race start before disappointing behind Ambitsiya but looks the one to beat from the pole. ARMA BELIEVER (6) possesses good gate speed and he could make things interesting in the early stages. PETES HONOUR (2) is drawn to be prominent throughout and should be in the finish. UBEEN THUNDASTRUCK (7) beat home the polemarker at his last start and can play a part despite the wide draw. Tips: 1 6 2 7 Suggested Bet: INFINITE MERIT (1) to win. Market Market
