Race 1

LAKE PICHOLA (12) was a winner on return after a long time away from the track, showed above average ability as a two-year-old and will be fitter and looks to win again. BOOM IT UP (11) is suited in this grade and will be running on late, one of the key chances. BUNJIL MAN (4) returns and has shown promise, will be around the mark. PAPER CRANE (5), WAHINE TOA (6) and ROCKNROLL DILINGER (10) all novelty chances in this.

Tips: 12 11 4 10

Suggested Bet: LAKE PICHOLA/BOOM IT UP to Exacta.

Race 2

WICKED WINDERMERE (5) will be right in the finish but is finding it hard to win, looks likely to be favourite and due to his consistency, happy to look outside of him. GAMETIME (7) is improving with every run with the new stable and can be put into the race. CHARLI BROWN (6) is capable and will be around the mark. THE FIRST CUT (9) will settle close enough and be running on. SUGAR BOO (2) is up in grade but is a novelty chance with ALLIZEE (4) and SMOKEYS SHADOW (10).

Tips: 7 5 6 9

Suggested Bet: GAMETIME (7) to win.

Race 3

ANNIE CROCKER (11) will have to do it from a rearward position as she won’t be leading and this will be a good test for her, should still be hard to hold out. DIAMOND WORLD (12) has been luckless as of late and her high speed will help her get into the race. ICY COLD (1) can be a tricky one to be confident about when she’s drawn to lead these days, good getaway will see her go well. ARUM (5) returns and did well last prep, might need the run but is capable. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (2) is a novelty chance with HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) and BETTOR MOVE ALONG (10) is hard to leave out even though he’s not at his best.

Suggested Bet: ANNIE CROCKER (11) to win.

Race 4

HAVTIMEFORMIKI (6) has been ultra impressive since coming across to WA, has good early speed and will push forward and settle handy to them, massive run two starts ago and defied a trend with a big run last time out. EL MYSTRO (5) is in top form and will run well again, likely heads forward and could get the run of the race. PATRIARCH (2) will be looking for the top and will look to run a bold race, good test. IDEAL BEACH (8) needs some luck from the draw but is in top form, will take a Hall Jnr special from the draw. PROPOSITION JOE (10) will be running on and is an outside chance.

Suggested Bet: HAVTIMEFORMIKI (6) to win.

Race 5

JUSTASMOOTH MIKI (6) is racing well without being rewarded with a win, may have to do some work again in this and will be hard to hold out. SKYHIGH ADDA (1) is ideally drawn and has options, racing well and I think the distance will suit her. MISS BEJEWELED (7) faces a difficult draw but is talented, distance will bring her into it late. TYPHOON TREASURE (8) is drawn well and has mixed form since returning. SWEETER THE BETTOR (4), PERFECT MIKI (5) and MA PETITE DAME (2) around the mark.

Tips: 6 1 7 8

Suggested Bet: SKYHIGH ADDA (1) each way.

Race 6 – Best Bet

SHEER ROCK LADY (2) gets the good draw and should speed to the top, her recent form has been sound and looks hard to beat in this. TURBO JAY (5) is doing things right and elevating his performances, can do some work in the run and be there in the finish, does have good gate speed to test them early. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (9) will be running on well, horses form has been consistent as of late. WRITE RITE RIGHT (1) is up in grade but drawn well to be a novelty chance with SWITCH BLADE (3) and WICKED HUSTLER (8).

Tips: 2 5 9 8

Suggested Bet: SHEER ROCK LADY (2) to win.

 Race 7

Open race to finish. EASTON QUALITY (11) has had a few runs since returning from a freshen up and bumps into a suitable grade, tricky draw but will run on strongly and will go well. CAPPY THE FIREY (5) is not a horse you’d expect to be tipping winning 1 from 90 odd starts but is racing consistent and it’s not a deep race. ICANPLAY (12) faces barrier 12 over a mile, never an easy task, distance suits his style but will need some luck. JACK MANNIX (4) is a winning chance but needs a safe getaway. CAPTURE THE MOMENT (6) has some early speed and will be looking for the top, chance if she can get there.
