Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 7, 2023September 7, 2023 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 TEN TO THE DOZEN (9) crossed from a wide draw when 3rd in the Pearl here last week and will be hard to catch if he can find the front without doing too much work. VEGAS STRIP (8) has been impressive in winning both of his starts since crossing the Tasman and must be respected despite wide draw. GREVIS (2) had every chance when 2nd in the Pearl and should be thereabouts again from his nice barrier. BROUGHT TO LIGHT (10) has shown plenty of ability in his six career starts and can surprise at odds from this draw. Tips: 9 8 2 10 Suggested Bet: TEN TO THE DOZEN (9) to win. Race 2 RAMBO RABBIT (2) led throughout to win consecutive races in July and has finished just behind the placegetters at his last two starts. He looks a good chance to find the front tonight and will be hard to catch in that role. ACHARNE GIRL (10) won five of her eight starts in her last campaign and will be charging home if she sees daylight at the right time. CHEER THE MAJOR (7) has been placed in eight of his last ten starts and should be thereabouts again. SHEZA BROMAC (1) wasn’t far away when 4th here last week and can run a place at odds from the pole. Tips: 2 10 7 1 Suggested Bet: RAMBO RABBIT (2) to win. Race 3 KIMBLE (1) led throughout here last week and is clearly the one to beat from the pole despite the rise in class. HOPPYS WAY (2) has won two of his last four starts and is likely to sit on the favourite’s back and will be the main danger. VALENTINES BROOK (5) drops in class on his last two efforts and should make his presence felt. MR FANTASTIC (3) led throughout in quick time here last week but won’t get it as easy tonight. Tips: 1 2 5 3 Suggested Bet: KIMBLE (1) to win. Race 4 AUGUST MOON (3) has won all four starts since resuming from a spell and is clearly the one to beat again. ZEPHYRA (8) has won seven of her ten career starts and is the obvious danger but will be giving a big head start to the favourite. OUR LADY JEN (1) had plenty of excuses at her last start and looks a good place chance from the pole. CABSAV (10) isn’t racing at her best but can be placed from this draw if she shows anything like her best. Tips: 3 8 1 10 Suggested Bet: AUGUST MOON (3) to win. Race 5 NEVER ENDING (9) had won all nine career starts before breaking at the start when a gallant 3rd here last week. He is clearly the best horse in the event but won’t get it all his own way from out here. SKYLORD (6) put up a career best performance from the breeze when 2nd to Rolling Fire in quick time and looks an obvious danger. RUNNINGONEMPTY (3) impressed in leading throughout in 1.56.7 at his first start for a new stable and can give some cheek if he finds the front. MAGNUS VICTOR (1) has led throughout at his last two starts and has options from this draw. Tips: 9 6 3 1 Suggested Bet: SKYLORD (6) each way. Race 6 LET IT LINGA (1) has impressed in winning her last two starts and is clearly the one to beat from the pole over the sprint trip. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (2) has been racing in stronger company and looks the main danger to the favourite. CARRERA MACH (10) sat behind the leader when winning here two starts back and looks likely to enjoy the same trip tonight. SIMPLY SHAZ (12) is racing well and can figure but will need luck from this draw. Tips: 1 2 10 12 Suggested Bet: LET IT LINGA (1) to win. Race 7 JUMPINGJACKMAC (3) resumed with a solid 2nd to Prince Of pleasure and is the one to beat after drawing inside his main rivals. MIGHTY RONALDO (5) resumed with a comfortable win over a similar field and must be considered again but isn’t as well drawn tonight. DIEGO (4) couldn’t make grounds in a quick last half at his first run back from a spell and a similar scenario looks likely here. BLITZEMBYE (2) has the gate speed to cross at the start and can play a part if that does occur. Tips: 3 5 4 2 Suggested Bet: JUMPINGJACKMAC (3) to win. Race 8 SOHO DOW JONES (8) finished towards the rear at his last start but he drops considerably in class for this assignment and he should give a great sight. WATTS UP SUNSHINE (9) has the best form in the race and is capable of overcoming his 20m handicap. OUR TRUMP CARD (3) disappointed as a short-priced favourite at his last start but can be considered if you overlook that effort. AMERICAN BULLITT (6) has been placed at his last two starts and will be charging home again. Tips: 8 9 3 6 Suggested Bet: SOHO DOW JONES (8) each way. Race 9 WONDERFUL TO FLY (2) looked sharp when leading throughout here a fortnight ago and is clearly the one to beat. STAR OF DIAMONDS (1) is a capable mare who looks the main danger and warmed up for her first-up assignment with a nice 2nd in a recent trial. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (10) is drawn to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and looks a good place chance. THREE RUMOURS (5) resumes from a spell and has plenty of ability but the draw makes it tough. Tips: 2 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (2) to win. Race 10 HIGH PRICE (2) drops in class and looks the one to beat after drawing inside his stablemate. IM THE BLACK FLASH (6) disappointed at his first run back from a spell but looks a strong winning chance against this line-up. NAME IN LIGHTS (1) doesn’t have the class of his two main rivals but looks a great place chance from the pole. HENWOOD BAY (4) hasn’t looked likely in his three starts back from a spell but this field lacks depth. Tips: 2 6 1 4 Suggested Bet: LOUIE DIOR (1) to win. Market Market
