Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 28, 2022July 28, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 WALL STREET GIRL (4) was beaten as a $1.22 favourite at her last start when she worked hard in the run and finished 3rd to Shehadi. She looks a good chance to find the front tonight and will give a great sight. TAKING THE MIKI (6) is the class filly in this field and warmed up for her return with a nice Byford trial victory and is the obvious danger. FIVE BANGLES (10) was a dominant winner from this draw against a weaker field last start and must be considered. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (9) led throughout here recently but is drawn poorly. Tips: 4 6 10 9 Suggested Bet: WALL STREET GIRL (4) to win. Race 2 EIGHTEEN CARAT (2) was an impressive winner at her first start in the state and lost no admirers with her 3rd here last week. She has a significant barrier advantage over her main rivals here and appeals as the one to beat. BALCATHERINE (8) defeated Chicago Bull before going for a spell and will strip fitter after her first-up 5th to Savvy Bromac. ANGEL IN WHITE (7) is racing well but it looks likely that she will be in for a tough run here. BLISSFULLABBEY (5) led throughout here last week but goes up in class tonight. Tips: 2 8 7 5 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (2) to win. Race 3 POCKET THE CASH (1) had a nice run when 3rd to Blissfullabbey here last week and gets his chance to press for an all-the-way win from the pole. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (2) faced the breeze when a strong 2nd in that event and will be a major player. LOUIE THE LIP (11) steps up in class tonight but has won his last four starts and should enjoy a nice run in the moving line. FANCI A DANCE (5) started favourite in the Blissfullabbey event when a close-up 5th but is drawn awkwardly again. Tips: 1 2 11 5 Suggested Bet: POCKET THE CASH (1) to win. Race 4 TYPHOON BANNER (3) won three on end recently and will be very hard to beat if he can use his good gate speed to cross at the start. BEAT CITY (4) is racing extremely well and has the strength to be put into the race from the outset. WILL I ROCKNROLL (2) could hit the pegs early and will be dangerous if that occurs. ARMA EINSTEIN (9) is flying but will need a strong early tempo to bring him into winning calculations from out here. Tips: 3 4 2 9 Suggested Bet: TYPHOON BANNER (3) to win. Race 5 LUCKY GALLEON (1) ran on well to finish 2nd to SOCRATES (11) in a heat of this event and can turn the tables with the significant barrier advantage tonight. SOCRATES (11) was a comfortable all-the-way winner of his heat but has shown that he can come from behind. MOONLITE DRIVE (10) has won three of his last four starts but is better suited when he can be rolling along in his races. THE GOOD LIFE (4) couldn’t make up ground in a blistering last quarter when 4th in his heat but is drawn to be prominent tonight. Tips: 1 11 10 4 Suggested Bet: LUCKY GALLEON (1) to win. Race 6 CHICAGO BULL (2) has only won one event in the past 18 months but his recent efforts have been meritorious and he should be winning this if he finds the front. DIEGO (1) would be extremely hard to beat over the sprint trip if he led but may be happy to sit on his stablemate and run the quinella. JUMPINGJACKMAC (6) has plenty of ability but needs things to go his way in this company at the moment. PAPINIK (4) looks set for a good campaign after an impressive Pinjarra trial victory but this may not be run to suit. Tips: 2 1 6 4 Suggested Bet: DIEGO (1) each way. Race 7 STEAM PUNK (1) ran a nice 2nd here before having no luck at his last start. He gets the advantage of the pole draw tonight and appeals as the one to beat. EUPHORIA (2) hasn’t won in his 14 starts this time in but is normally about the place and looms as the main danger. CARRERA MACH (7) will strip fitter fort his first-up 3rd at Pinjarra and will be charging home if the race is run to suit. MATTJESTIC STAR (10) is racing well enough to be a good place chance from this barrier. Tips: 1 2 7 10 Suggested Bet: STEAM PUNK (1) to win. Race 8 COOPER (1) has won all three starts from the stand and he should give a great sight if he can make the most of the pole draw in the initial stages. HIMSELF (2) has impressed in winning his two starts since crossing the Tasman, both from the stand, and should fight out the finish. TWOBOB CRACKER (7) is a last start-winner of a similar event and is always dangerous with the right run. ACUTO (8) has finished 2nd in three of his past four starts and is getting close to a win. Tips: 1 2 7 8 Suggested Bet: COOPER (1) to win. Race 9 ROCK ME OVER (1) has only been placed once in his past 13 starts but he is in the right company to press for an all-the-way victory tonight. MACHLANI (7) didn’t fire a shot last time in but has plenty of ability and must be considered first-up. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (6) has been racing in stronger company and can improve. BILLY MACK (10) looks a good place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 1 7 6 10 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (1) to win. Race 10 NEVER ENDING (1) was ultra-impressive at his debut when he settled at the rear and flashed home to defeat Rockokoko. He has the advantage of the pole draw tonight and is clearly the one to beat. SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (2) was a good all-the-way winner on debut and lost no admirers when a gallant 2nd to Crowd Control at his last start and looks the only danger. SORRIDERE (3) is first-up but won two of his three starts last time in and won’t be far away. SKYLORD (4) was a strong winner on debut but rises in class tonight. Tips: 1 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: NEVER ENDING (1) to win. Market Market
