He was purchased by Team Gangemi in an online sale for $18,000 and makes his WA debut off the back of a hot trial win at Belmont Park. They’ll go quick in this (Rural Arms, Military Power) and he can park just behind them. Looks a great way to start his new life as a gelding. MILITARY POWER has had four starts and finished second on all four occasions. He clearly has a motor but continues to find one better than him. STAR POWER can box seat on the back of the speed and enjoy a soft run. SNAZZLER looked to spin the wheels on the Soft7 track last start. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – CRYSTALIST WIN RACE 2 SHOT OF ELEGANCE only had one start last preparation when charging home from an impossible position in running in a race where the leader (and eventual winner) broke them open from the 800. Her recent trial was super alongside Regal Statue and it was great to see her hold a spot and show some tactical speed. Wasn’t wearing winkers in her trial and extended impressively through the line. Hard to beat at her return. CHEDDAR BOB was stiff last start. He was travelling well but had nowhere to go behind a wall of horses. Continues to run honest races. JUST A RUMOUR covered plenty of ground last start in a forgive run. WHO BE WHATEE enjoyed the run of the race behind the leader last start and improved sharply. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – SHOT OF ELEGANCE WIN RACE 3 DUCHESS OF GOSSIP locked horns with Falcon Trader a long way from home last start and just peaked on her run in the last 50m when finishing second. They gapped third (further 5L back) and they smashed the clock going 3L faster than maiden average on a Soft7 surface. Happy to follow that as a form reference and suggest she’s hard to run down here. Improving with racing and has plenty of raw ability. BERGAMO ran a ripper on debut behind Crystal’s Dream in a race which turned into a hot form reference. Liked her recent trial. CANNY ROCK was below his best last start. May be better ridden cold? RED REBEL has flashed ability and caught the eye at his return. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – DUCHESS OF GOSSIP WIN RACE 4 SUPER ROMANI ran well on debut behind Chinobrown and Nod and Smile at 1300m before finishing a narrow second splitting Beats Of War and Sassy Skye. Now gets out to a mile at his third career outing and is drawn to get the run of the race over the top of the speed. Looks like he’ll get even further in time and this race looks a great set up for him. I LOVE YOUR SMILE is 8 weeks between runs at 1600m following a minor set back (scratched 26 March). Has ability and has Pike but the gap between runs is hard to come into. THE COLLECTOR and SIROTA both come through the same race and there wasn’t much between their efforts. Numbers: 6 – 11 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – SUPER ROMANI WIN RACE 5 CENTRAL FORCE and VITAL GEM come through the same race behind Kia Ora Jewel at Pinjarra. They were both making their runs down the centre together and there wasn’t much between them in the finish. CENTRAL FORCE has blinkers first time and is drawn to get a soft run behind a genuine tempo (Classado/Boy Blue). From there he should be going close after a string of handy runs. VITAL GEM is racing extremely well and Victoria Corver has been riding plenty of winners over the last 6 months (28 winners at 7% POT is good going for an apprentice). MONEY FOR OLD ROPE continues to race consistently without winning. BENT LEG BORIS an improver. Trial was good. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – CENTRAL FORCE WIN RACE 6 NO PEER comes through the Pearly Nugget, Sisu Warrior, Boots Like Bruce trial and was winding up nicely at the end of the 950m. From the gate Chris Parnham can have her tucked away behind the speed poised to strike. Open race with plenty of winning chances and she’s undeniably one of them. PENNY’S AFIELD has been only been trialling fairly but her last 5 have been in higher grade and she’s already proven at this level. SHE’S A SWEET DEEL held her own in a fast run trial behind winners Rear Admiral and Keep Attacking. Dangerous with a late split. YONGA LASS is 7 weeks between runs coming out of a maiden into a C3. She’s progressive and looks to have a future. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – NO PEER EACHWAY RACE 7 WITHOUT REG is the kind of horse who needs to draw an inside gate, be tucked away behind a genuine speed and then produce at the right time. He has a short, sharp burst of acceleration but he can’t sustain a run. Looks to get the conditions he needs here and his form around Birdieagle/Mahaleo/Rulelee/Thorogood last preparation measure up in this. ROYAL GAP is closing in on another win. He’ll park and ride the speed and gets weight on Tiff’s Lad for beating him home at York first-up. TIFF’S LAD won well at Narrogin and will appreciate more ground. HE’SGOTWINGS hasn’t had much luck so far this preparation. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – WITHOUT REG EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 6,11 2,4 1,2,3,5,6,8 FD Market Market
