Scott Embry’s Wednesday Northam Preview Posted on November 27, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 CHECKERS was very impressive sitting three deep the trip first-up for new connections. Historically not known as a 1000m horse but that race has already produced two subsequent winners. CITICHANT could well be simply be a jump and run 1000m horse. Has been tested over further but doesn’t seem to get it. MISS SWINDLE box seats and uses the cutaway. MISS SOMEBODY could be the target of support. Dirt back to grass, new stable, no trial. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – CHECKERS WIN Race 2 DIAPARA trialed very well for her debut. Got a long way back, made steady ground under no riding and was hard held to the line. If there is money around it could pay to follow. Looked to have ability. LACEVINSKY was the target of strong support on debut. Had every chance and was beaten fair and square. OLIVIA KNOWS is racing well but query on the York form. REACTION ran forth in what has turned into a handy form race at his most recent. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – DIAPARA EACHWAY Race 3 HEROIC WORDS looks reasonable enough at trials before running into some smart ones on debut as a 2 year old. Has not trialed since and is purely a speculation tip. STAIRWAYTOTHEMOON likely opens up poison odds for a horse who was beaten 17L at her only start. Forget she went round but anything in the red is dangerous. SNOW BAMBOO had the blinkers added at her most recent trial and was far from poor. ATOMIZE should come across from an awkward alley. Numbers: 5 – 9 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – HEROIC WORDS EACHWAY Race 4 FAIRVIEW could lead them up here. Has shown little to no speed at trials but no surprise on race day to see her sent forwards. Ran well in both career runs to date and most recent trial was eye catching. FORGOTTEN STAR looks to have a stack of natural ability. Arguably could have won on debut if she didn’t find traffic at crucial stages. LA BELLA MISS was crunched on debut in a race where the gate always looked like beating her. Strong form race. ONYA HEAD next best. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – FAIRVIEW WIN Race 5 LORD LUDLOW drops out of a Saturday race back into a Class 5 at Northam where he goes very well, especially for Jason Brown. Looks like rolling straight to the top in race devoid of speed and should give a big show. BACHELORS PROSPECT always runs big races from the back when it is all over. If he can hold up three back the fence will shoot up the cutaway. FOUR WHITE FOX is likely to open very short for a horse who is probably suited over further. ICECRUSHER has run some nice races in her short career, keep safe. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – LORD LUDLOW WIN Race 6 ARSINOE was backed as if unbeatable first-up and duly saluted. She really did let down impressively late and if she is within striking distance looks to have found a suitable race to notch two on the bounce. BEAT THE DEVIL won at this track and distance on debut. Looks like rolling to the top from an awkward gate and controls the race. TYCOON LEGEND has been promising to win a race for a long time but finds ways to get beat. DRIFTWOOD GIRL has not won for a while but she is always there abouts. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – ARSINOE WIN Race 7 TRUMP THIS was one of the better trials you will see all season at Lark Hill before finding bad traffic first-up in WA. Form around Moet De Vega and The Fugazi should prove simply too strong. REEF KEEPER has his fair share of ability. Jury is still out whether he is a miler or a stayer. Fresh he rolls forward. MOUQUET is one of the more consistent types in WA. Never far away and always brave on speed. PURE TORQUE could be an improver. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – TRUMP THIS WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,8 1,3,7,8 1,2,3,7 4 Market Market
