Scott Embry’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on January 25, 2021January 25, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 HOI AN could definitely continue this career best run for Roy Rogers as he extends his dominance of the Great Southern into the metro area. On debut she went round at 50-1 but got within a head of Sniparoochy and Ex Sport Man who are both headed for the Pinjarra Magic Millions and ran straight past stablemate and Crystal Slipper winner Heavenly Waters. Gains race experience and Pike. Hard to beat. SUCCESS PLAY was really impressive behind Heavenly Waters on debut in the Crystal Slipper when navigating a horror barrier draw. Settles much closer here. KELLY’S LASSIE trialled like a filly who would be winning races. SERVICEMAN wasn’t asked for much late in his trial outing. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – HOI AN WIN RACE 2 DANCING JACK looks every chance of giving Pike and Roy Rogers a flying start to the Bunbury Australia Day program. Seems to have really turned a corner in the last month or so. Eye catching late behind Catchya Catchya in a maiden at Albany, backed it up with a solid second placing in a Mt Barker C2 and now draws a gate to do no work and gets W.Pike into the saddle. GLENAUREEN was disappointing last start but does seem to really run for Peter Hall. RIP AND SNIP put a lot of pressure on at various stages in that same race and braved it out well. THEHUNTSMEN has a few gear changes and noted staying rider Lucy Warwick engaged. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – DANCING JACK WIN RACE 3 SEVEN KINGDOMS is one that trial watchers have been patiently waiting for since 29 December 2020. The blinkers went on in the trial and he looks very sharp and professional. On debut as a 2 year old was beaten 6.5L by Madam Torio but was still fairly impressive in the final furlong. Looks a talent. PADDY’S ART did a lot of work on debut and almost pulled off an impressive debut victory. Looks like he will be wining his fair share of races. PINBALL PLAYER comes from a winner producing maiden behind Fiery Bay. AMERICAN QUEEN should get a soft run and accelerated nicely at Lark Hill. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – SEVEN KINGDOMS WIN RACE 4 ZEEWIJK finally drops into a maiden after two impressive outings in open class 3 year old races when fighting well and truly outside his weight division. Got within 2.2L of Our Danni on debut and then at his most recent sat three deep the trip and finish 5L off the likes of Belgravia Stakes winner Magical Dream, Devine Beast, Hot Mix, Keep Your Feet, All Day Session, Starfield Impact and Bumper Humper. Has to be a big chance in maiden company. STEEL’S THE DEEL draws the inside gate and has been hitting the line powerfully at trials without being fully tested. NATURAL AIRCHIEF sat over the top of a solid tempo last start in a maiden which has already produced two subsequent winners. TRADE WAR hasn’t been asked for much at trials. (Hoping Freedomofthepress goes to Ascot Wednesday). Numbers: 4 – 8 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – ZEEWIJK WIN RACE 5 BETOKEN comes from the obvious form line having split Sun Chacen and Graceful Girl before running second to Universal Pleasure who has backed off the map ($4 into $1.90) when getting the chocolates in a 58+ at Ascot on Saturday, with subsequent winners Bye Felicia and Imprudent back in the field. Consistent mare who gets her chance from an inside draw to lead and win for noted front running apprentice Carleen Hefel. SEMINYAK hit the line alright on debut as a 2 year old behind Bumper Humper in a Saturday 2 year old race. KEYTRADE showed something on debut but hasn’t fired a shot since. BARANTIAN gets it soft along the fence. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – BETOKEN WIN RACE 6 CUBALLING uncharacteristically missed the kick first-up and raced completely against his usual race pattern when three back the fence. Can’t do much more than come home in under 34 seconds and if he steps he should be right in the finish here back in grade for Victoria Corver. TINTO BELLE may well be on the quick back up from Saturday. If she starts she’s a big danger. OUR BOY DYLAN toyed with them in a C1. His 2 and 3 year old Saturday form is strong enough to measure up in this class. CLASSIC CHANT looks capable of finding the front drawn inside Cuballing, Double Jeopardy and Endovanera. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – CUBALLING WIN RACE 7 DOUBLE SPICE is a horse who has always looked to have raw ability. Now returns as a 4 year old and it is hard not to be impressed with what he produced at the trials under Brad Rawiler when levelling off powerfully late. SJ Miller’s yard is in white hot form and this looks another one who can definitely win. CASTILLO DEL LAGO is no slouch and often the target of strong market support. Trialled nicely without blinkers. THREE EZE has always shown ability but been a little unlucky and wayward in his racing. Blinkers on, Chris Parnham on. Massive bonus. FIERY BAY has returned in brilliant fashion. Definite winning chance again. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE SPICE EACHWAY RACE 8 FA’LION MACHINE has been competitive in this grade and higher for a fair while now including a 60+ Saturday win at Belmont Park. First-up run over 1200m was excellent and she has both a strong second-up card and a highly attractive Bunbury record. From the draw she can position midfield and in a wide open race is an eachway chance. TRADENSIA gets significant weight relief for Angela Johnston. Big opportunity afforded by Michael Lane. SPEEDY MISS in a similar vein is a great opportunity for Snaggers Sardelic to boot home another provincial winner. MAROCCHINO will be winning races this preparation. Really nice return from him. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – FA’LION MACHINE EACHWAY RACE 9 LUCY DA GREY was only beaten 3.7L first-up for the new stable in a 0MWLY 1200 which has produced a subsequent winner in He’s All Mighty and a metro place getter in Regal Poyse. Drops back to C1 company, draws a gate and might sneak under the radar of a few punters. SEE YA CHAMP comes back from 60+ into C1 and has been knocking on the door all preparation. No luck last start in a race which has already produced Firesale for victory. Really does deserve to break through and win a race. REAL PASSION needed everything Chris Parnham had in the kitchen sink to get home last start. The form looks good with Dance Shoes wining since but the draw makes it interesting. CATCHYA CATCHYA is an improving mare and is from team #Roy. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – LUCY DA GREY EACHWAY Quad (R6 – R9) 2,3,4,55,6,9,121,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,102,4,5,9 Market Market
