Scott Embry’s Sunday Toodyay Preview Posted on September 26, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 FASCINATION was too good for them at Northam after enjoying a lovely run throughout. Mauritian apprentice Laqdar Ramoly takes his first race ride in WA and gets every chance to boot home a winner. CLAPPA THUNDER is the winner of 1 race at Kojonup picnic meet but tries his little heart out. BALI KING PRAWN showed some improvement last start. QUEST TO VENUS is the best horse in the race but has been out of form for a long while. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – FASCINATION WIN Race 2 WILDONBROOK should roll straight to the top for Bonnie Palise. Toodyay can be a leaders track as many of the undulating circuits are and from the front she’s the one to beat. BON VOYAGE has not seen a race this soft in a long, long time and the Bairstow stable have got him down to a brilliant rating to have a lot of summer provincial fun. THE GOSPEL SIN brings alternate form lines but he can definitely figure. MASSA MAC is a big animal who has ability. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – WILDONBROOK WIN Race 3 ORACHINO should jump straight to the top and that should be the last they see of her. Some of efforts this preparation have been excellent and the form reads far superior to rivals. Unfortunately for punters looks like a ~$1.40 commodity at best. FAITH IN RIKKI can improve without surprising. GUNNEDOO trialed reasonably well prior to this campaign. VITALILO races on speed. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – ORACHINO WIN Race 4 PLAUDABLE trialed on Monday at Lark Hill and was an impressive last to first winner. Nothing special about the opposition in that trial or the time but this race lacks depth and she can make her presence felt. MASCHARANO was racing well for the late Terry Brennan and deserves a maiden win. SHECKY RED with shades on an improver. WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN has not done anything wrong all prep, ultra-consistent. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – PLAUDABLE WIN Race 5 FETCH MORE AMMO supporters will be hoping the Coffee Van is on course and that Boy Hill can wind her up with a blistering run. Didn’t fire a shot first-up but had plenty of excuses and at her best she’d be in the mix here. VENA SCHNITZEL only comes out of a moderate maiden but falls into a field without any depth. Can come out running and take up a prominent position in running and go on with the job. SHOUHOU won well fresh but this is harder. ZOSIMUS the blow out if Edwards can find the top. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – FETCH MORE AMMO WIN Race 6 ARMED AND READY was first-up at 1920 at York and was held up at crucial stages in the straight when the winner was off and gone building momentum down the outside. Big in defeat and this is a weaker assignment. He should salute. GOODLUCK SIMBA is out of form but he could bounce back and run a race at a price. LAW MAJOR won well fresh. TAKE IT LIKE A MAN is racing well below his best. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – ARMED AND READY WIN Race 7 DEMI GO ROUND is one of the most consistent gallopers in WA. She will roll across from a wide draw and take up the lead. From there she controls the speed and should be off and running into the home corner to try and pinch it. SAN CRISPINO is racing well enough to win this and Jason Brown riding 54 on a Sunday is always a lead, in fact Jason Brown riding on a Sunday full stop catches the eye. GOLDEN ARCHES is a hard horse to ride but has ability. PLEAD THE FIFTH needs galloping room. Where she gets is a mystery. Numbers: 8 – 10 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – DEMI GO ROUND WIN Race 8 CAPO DEL ARIA is an interesting runner. The only race she has won was in a Collie maiden and at one stage was retired but her efforts so far this preparation have all been good enough to win this. Keep safe. ALLURING was allowed to roll at York and folded up late. TESTA DE LAGO box seats or leads and takes beating. DANISH GEM improves out in trip. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – CAPO DEL ARIA EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,3,5,7 1 1,7,8,10 1,2,7 Market Market
