Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 21, 2025February 24, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SILENT ALERT makes his WA debut for Grant & Alana Williams and their recent interstate acquisitions have been elite (Too Soon, Addictive Dream, Essentric Nature – all debut winners in the West). Trialled really well down the straight (huge bonus) and while barrier 1 is poison, it’s only a field of 7 to overcome. TEABISCUIT is quick and is drawn the outside fence. Expecting Taj Dyson to really get the chasing. THE TOP BAR has shades on. Loomed the winner last start but faded badly late. COONDLE an improver. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – SILENT ALERT WIN RACE 2 SECRET INTENT is getting closer and closer. This race doesn’t have any real stand out runners and given the imposing strike rate of the Triscari/Parnham combination at the minute we’ll trust in her. YOUGIVEMECHILLS was well supported in betting at his debut and travelled well into the race, but really didn’t let down at all in the home straight. Tipped out for a spell and resumes without a trial. Big watch. WHISKERS HARBOUR ran really well at his first outing for new trainer Bob McPherson. Reproduces that and is a big winning chance. CLASSIC TURN looks like a filly who will get ground. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – SECRET INTENT WIN RACE 3 RISING FAME was a late scratching in a race where she was going to start $1.30 recently. She’s back here at the races she’s drawn to sit right up over the speed and her runner-up performance to Yorga Pride reads up super for a maiden. SISTER TALK ran really well on debut and should only improve for the outing. TAKE THE FIELD won his trial well and the horse who ran third (Gav Has Spoken) was an impressive debut winner on Thursday at Geraldton. URQUHARTS BLUFF has been trialling nicely. Numbers: 10 – 11 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – RISING FAME WIN RACE 4 FAYOLA BAY ran into really talented type Galactic Empire first-up and she never gave it away. Sure to be improved with a run under her belt and looks far better suited over 1400m than she was at 1200m first-up. Takes beating in this. ACES TO WIN is through the same race and finished 2.2L behind her. Very encouraging return. PRODUCTIVE is a big horse who looks like the further they stretch him out the better he will go. POLYVANOVA can give cheek. Numbers: 11 – 3 – 4 – 10 Suggested Bet – FAYOLA BAY WIN RACE 5 DELICATE WARRIOR and PLAYING FOR TIME are through the same race behind Playing Around and both had merit to their performances. Given the barrier draw happy to side up with DELICATE WARRIOR who certainly put up a fight when headed at the 200. PLAYING FOR TIME had a genuine excuse after copping interference when she was just starting to build some momentum. REBELNADO loomed the winner but didn’t quite finish off second-up. MACHINE GUN GRACIE may need to work hard to get across from that draw. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – DELICATE WARRIOR WIN RACE 6 HELLUVA GODDESS looks a nice filly. She sat parked three and four deep the trip on debut when recording a gritty win and then went to a Lee Steere when only 2L off Cashel Palace, London’s Image and Wind And The Lion. Trialled well on the synthetic and maps well. WESTERN LADY made an impression on debut at Geraldton and then was thrown into the deep end in the Burgess Queen. DELICATE RULER can work his way to the top here and is racing well. SIR DUSKIN came again after Lombadina showed too much sprint for him. Numbers: 9 – 12 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – HELLUVA GODDESS WIN RACE 7 CHEYNE BAY had blinkers on first time and got the job done in a high pressure staying contest. Puts him in good stead for this and think he’s a 3 year old who will continue to hold form deep into the preparation. BEEJAY BOY was tough. It took Cheyne Bay the entire length of the home straight to finally put him away. GREAT DEMON has been hitting a real flat spot in his races this campaign. Gives the indication he’ll stay? BEATS OF WAR is well placed, but bars are on. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHEYNE BAY WIN RACE 8 SNOWDOME was back to his best last start. Had been over 12 months since we had seen it but boy he was impressive. He can land outside of Final Siren and from there gets every chance to go back to back. TRIPLE MISSILE ran fourth at WFA in the Gold Rush. This is an excellent race for him and he goes super fresh. MAN CRUSH was below his best last start. He tried to keep Twain’s Angel in a pocket at the top of the home straight and then didn’t really let down at all. No doubt some will look at it as an end of prep run? ICE PICK NICK gets in on the 54kg minimum and measures up at this level. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – SNOWDOME WIN RACE 9 TOO SOON made an emphatic WA debut and stamped himself as a genuine WATC Derby watch. Hasn’t raced since 12 January which is the obvious query but hoping that’s because Grant & Alana Williams are timing their run to the 3 year old features. Nice horse. MY JIMMY was a big improver last start and Thermosphere Lad was plunged out of that race on Wednesday. CENTRE BOND is a horse with more ability than his 1 from 7 record suggests. WITH DISCRETION was well below his best fresh. Blinkers on and out in trip. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 2 – 11 Suggested Bet – TOO SOON WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 2,9,12 2,4,5,7,8,11,12 1,2,3,8 9 Market Market
