Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 22, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BEDOUIN BELLE was scratched from a reasonably strong 3 year old mid week race to be saved for this weak Pinjarra maiden. Only had 1 start and that was off a 400m jump out when narrowly defeated down the straight. Same scenario here and this race lacks depth. CITY CIRCLE is the biggest danger on exposed form. Put in some nice runs last campaign. UNIVERSAL APPEAL looks to have ability. ALYAWARRE MISS has speed and should be in the firing line early. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – BEDOUIN BELLE WIN Race 2 BRELETTA FIVE showed genuine staying ability in her first preparation and then got a long way out of her ground first-up at an unsuitable trip, improved sharply to hit the line hard second-up and now out to a staying trip gets her chance. AMBER HANA looks like she will grind away and stay all day. COSMIC REFLECTION gets back and flashes late. Big run in town last start. TALENT SCHOOL was held up last start and could have finished a lot closer. Numbers: 10 – 9 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – BRELETTA FIVE WIN Race 3 SHUWISH showed talent at trials and then was strongly supported on debut. Things didn’t quite go to plan and second-up drawn a better alley can improve sharply with race experience and go close here. ANCIENT JOY has been trialing well as has stablemate BLACK FURY and both can run cheeky races. NERODIO will have plenty of admirers after winning his last two trials but draws poorly and will need luck early. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – SHUWISH WIN Race 4 ALL APPEAL has had a big number of trials and only the one race start to date. That debut run was easily good enough to be winning this maiden if reproduced. Will need luck from a sticky gate but winding up three deep with cover can go close. LAMBEK has been going alright in harder races than this and can improve at odds. MOONDYNE JOE looks like needing 1400m and further as does ZARATITE who could be more a staying type. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 10 – 11 Suggested Bet – ALL APPEAL EACHWAY Race 5 LANGLEY was scratched from a winnable race on Wednesday to be saved for this. Some of his closing efforts in the last month have been promising and when the stable is in form all their horses fly. MASTER PEARL on the fresh side back in trip can run a race without surprising. COMBAT READY is a maiden with ability and could clear them out to lead. RED SNITZ has been disappointing of late but could bounce back in this. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – LANGLEY WIN Race 6 SWANKY LASS comes from a stable who has been firing down the 1000m straight. She has speed and this is not a deep race by any stretch. FORK HANDLES has strong form and the stable is going great guns at the minute. Trialed well for his return to the races. PRINCE ANDREI was favourite in a tougher race first-up than what this is. VITAL TOUCH can win and will try to make some ground towards the outside fence early. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – SWANKY LASS WIN Race 7 ACHERNAR STAR is really well placed here to win first-up. He was thrown in the deep end last preparation and did run big races. Won a 78+ over 1400m first-up last preparation and the high level of speed helps his cause. VITAL SILVER is racing outside the handicap and with Pike probably even opens favourite. His effort in the Mandurah Cup suggests he can make the next step. REBEL KING off 7 days, drawn 1 can play a part. PROFIT STREET is deep into a long preparation but still racing well. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – ACHERNAR STAR WIN Race 8 FRIARANDICE has come back a different horse this preparation. She was outclassed and outgunned at her most recent but form all campaign has been consistent and this race is not overly deep. GO CRYING deserves to be racing in the metro/provincial on current form. FAIR SONARI backs up off 8 days after not having much luck. THREESUN the blow out up the fence. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – FRIARANDICE WIN Race 9 FAIRTRUSIVE won well four starts back, possibly didn’t quite see out the 1400m three starts back, was nosed out two starts ago and then ran a massive race in a fast run Saturday Graduation last start. Jumps off the page here. KISS THE BREEZE almost went down a couple of times last start and was brave to keep coming. SAINT SAVADORE should sit midfield and get every chance. KLONDIKE KENNY can improve back to Pinny. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – FAIRTRUSIVE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,3,5,6 1,2,9 1,2,5,7 6 Market Market
