Scott Embry’s Sunday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 30, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SPINX SECRETS trialed really impressively at Lark Hill but left a fair bit to be desired on race day debut when sitting outside the lead and fading pretty badly. Can bounce back hard. FLAMING GALAH was $101 into $7 on debut and for her loyal followers was a tough watch as she got held up at crucial stages. Looks like getting out towards a 1400 eventually. WHISPERIT finished off well after a freshen up for a new stable. CHASING THE ACE improves for the run. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – SPHINX SECRETS WIN Race 2 SHERU gets his chance to break into the winners circle for the first time in his career. Connections were confident last start and the 1400 looks suitable. This race is not deep, at all. CARSON DRIVE was a huge drifter first-up from a spell and was only fair but this is easier. FREDA is a blow out chance to improve. CHANTEVOUS showed zero on debut but the stable is on fire. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 9 – 10 Suggested Bet – SHERU WIN Race 3 TRADE TALK was an absolute moral beaten on Melbourne Cup day and then made it all better next start when getting to the outside and dominating rivals. Many of them are here again and he can go on with it. PARIS OF TROY improves into the preparation and at some stage will be sent forwards. PUSH TO PASS drops out of repeated Saturday metro runs and back in trip. Goes well at Geraldton. POLITICS hasn’t had much luck so far this campaign. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRADE TALK WIN Race 4 KARNATAKA should be worth following as these 58+ staying races increase in distance. From the gate should do no work in the run and gets its chance to unleash late. BOLLINGER BOY could be in an awkward position coming into the corner. Every chance he is 3 back the fence. HECADANE’S CHOICE was a nice run fresh and can figure here. THREE GENERATIONS next best with Autier back aboard. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – KARNATAKA WIN Race 5 LORENTINIO was a little bit stiff at his first start in Geraldton. Quickly into his second start and from the draw should lead these. From there he is clearly the one to run down. LOOKING GREAT is an interesting runner. Some of his dirt form can be discounted and his grass form is strong enough. FREEZ’EMOFF is always a chance in this grade. Draw hurts. JUPITER RISING could be an improver and will likely be abandoned by the market. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – LORENTINIO WIN Race 6 PARISA has really come of age this preparation. Cliff Green always brings winners to the Geraldton race course and this looks like one who has the turn of foot to fire through the grades. VITAL ASSET was unlucky first-up when caught three deep over the speed. Was brave in the end. MASTER SPLINTER has a horror draw but won well in maiden grade. KINTAIL was backed as if unbeatable last start and didn’t give much. First choice rider engaged from a stable with two runners. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – PARISA WIN Race 7 TRADEMARK resumed lumping a big weight and will do so again here but he was unlucky not to finish closer. Got held up in behind horses from the 600 and never really balanced. INVINCIBLE WARRIOR was brave winning at 1400m. He showed a versatility to sit in the box seat and there will be that option here. In a rich vein of form, both horse and trainer. HALLDORA landed the money last start and should be hard to catch. THERE AT FIVE looks about ready. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – TRADEMARK WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,4,5 1,2,4,6,7 1,2,3,4,6 4,6,7 Market Market
