Scott Embry’s Saturday Carnarvon Preview Posted on August 9, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DIAMONDS FOR ALL drops into maiden company and gets his chance at start number 26. Should lead and take running down. THE PAUA FRITTER has been going well all preparation. REUCOOP was flying late last start. Reproduces that effort and goes close. LUCKY ESCAPE was solid first-up. Numbers: 1 –5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – DIAMONDS FOR ALL WIN Race 2 MEGAMIND has been the King of Carnarvon this year and gone from strength to strength since joining the stables of Michelle Valentine. He can lump 65 and still win. CORPORATE LARRIKIN gets a big weights swing with the engagement of a claiming apprentice. FARALON tasted defeat for the first time this campaign last time out. HONORFIC is better than he is showing but not handling the surface on face value. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – MEGAMIND WIN Race 3 IN THE MOSH PIT was thrown in the deep end last start after winning a moderate maiden event. Certainly not disgraced and should be bouncing back to the winner’s circle here. DASH FOR KNICKERS has first start for the Hammarquist yard. Breaks maiden status soon. WHAT A DROP keeps going close without winning. MAGNATION can improve third start in the west. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – IN THE MOSH PIT WIN Race 4 PORTRAIT LAO drops back to a grade which suits and while he has never won at the trip he falls into a field which lacks any depth. He should be far too classy for this lot and winning. BALMONT STUNNER has been consistently there abouts all campaign. BULL BAILEY and ESPRESSO LASS have been ultra consistent all preparation and finishing alongside each other the entire season. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – PORTRAIT LAO WIN Race 5 WOOMERA should find the front here and is best allowed to run along. Second-up from a long injury enforced lay off he should be ready to win. STRIDE OUT was backed as if unbeatable last start and went under but had traffic excuses in the middle stages of the race. CHICO BUBBLES brings alternate form lines but is going well. ARGOON steps up in grade but races close handy from the draw. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – WOOMERA WIN Race 6 CLEVE’S WATCHING draws perfectly and his first two starts this preparation have been excellent. Out to his ideal trip he picks himself. GERSHOM has shades added to improve but has been a shade below his best this prep. SWEET TALKIN’ backed up the win two starts ago with another impressive victory. PREMIO MOMENTO would be the one to beat but looks like being scratched without a rider. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – CLEVE’S WATCHING WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 7 1 2,6 3,4,9 Market Market
