Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on August 9, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 HAPPY HARRY has to carry a career high and season high 64.5kg but should be too classy again. Weight stops trains but the Pateman Express is back in Kal. RHINO BUSTER and BARRY’S RABBIT both return from spells and both will likely be aimed at races over the round. Both can sprint well fresh. PARADISE SQUARE has started short his last few. Blinkers on, no weight. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – HAPPY HARRY WIN Race 2 ANGELIC MOON was backed at odds on debut and ran an absolute bottler. From the draw should settle close handy and with no weight on her back she should give a big sight. SCREAM IN BLUE has been hard in the market without firing a shot this campaign. Starting to lose faith. EXPLOSION is a hard one to catch but should get a nice run. FOXY DREAMER continues to catch the eye but continues to draw poorly. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – ANGELIC MOON WIN Race 3 JACK’S FROST has put the writing on the wall at the last two starts. Either leads or sits in the breeze and should be going close in this. TAJMALI has exclusive metro form on the board as a juvenile. Scratched from a metro race during the week to be saved for this. DAFOX resumes off a reasonable Lark Hill trial. SIMPLE AS THAT could surprise them if finding the front. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – JACK’S FROST WIN Race 4 GANGBUSTER finally broke through last start after a peach from the great man W.Pike. Had been a frustrating run previously and he can go on with it. BOOMA LACKA is a stayer and will be put in to the race early from a wide draw. Expect him to be fighting it out. DON’T SPEED has gone to a new level after racing on speed. PINK AND PURPLE is going through the grades and showing a nice turn of acceleration. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – GANGBUSTER WIN Race 5 DOUBLE THE PRO had his first start for the Peter Fernie yard and it was hard to miss on the replay. Draws poorly and will need luck in running but could be a big day for the stable and the jock. ICE ONE looks a genuine danger if getting the right run. WATTO’S FURY almost caused a big upset last start with an improved performance. SHIRASCA can lead and give cheek. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 9 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE THE PRO WIN Race 6 REGAL COUNSEL is a nice animal who should be going through the grades in Kalgoorlie. No reason why he can’t put a few together. HAYAN LAD leads or box seats from the draw and looks the hardest to reel in. EVOLUTIONIST can reel off some strong sections but will need to from a draw. MAULDEN’S MILL won well last start and is kept fresh by an astute yard. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – REGAL COUNSEL WIN Race 7 KNIGHT TEMPEST only comes out of maiden grade but the win was impressive to the eye and should only improve with more and more outings. Suggesting that he is above average and can win this. CARRANYA LASS has not had much luck at all since arriving in Kalgoorlie. CAN HE RULE HER joins the LK Fernie stable and should go well. PERCEPTIVE MISS will go back and have last crack. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 1 – 10 Suggested Bet – KNIGHT TEMPEST WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,7 1 1,3 1,4,6 Market Market
