Scott Embry’s Monday York Preview Posted on April 18, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PALACHINO has been a brilliant run in defeat at both her last two. Missed the kick on both occasions which is the big concern here but senior rider on and she gets her chance. LUKE’S CHOICE has been running strong late sections in big fields. Smaller field suits. CALAG is nominated Saturday and if they scratch to race here will give cheek. SNEAKY DEVIL can be in the finish. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – PALACHINO WIN Race 2 GET THE VIBE continues to be well played by team Taylor in these C5 races. She will win another very soon and this is a wonderful race for her. Leads or sits in the breeze and goes close. JENABEL is ready to win a race. Has been there abouts of recent times and draws soft. THERE AT FIVE is rarely far from the action and Parnham into the saddle is a big plus. SENSE OF DENIAL is warming up for Broome. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – GET THE VIBE WIN Race 3 KISS THE BREEZE has turned a corner since being ridden for speed. Was attacked a long way from home last start and was brave to finish as close as she did. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND has all the ability in the world but does a lot wrong in her races. She also wobbles round the bend so interesting to see how she handles the track. HIGH TEA back in trip a genuine winning chance. Her win two starts ago was authoritative. THREE SUN ridden quiet improves. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – KISS THE BREEZE WIN Race 4 KRAKKAS gets his best chance to win a race yet. He has shown ability from the outset and he has just needed more ground. His loyal owner/trainer/strapper Turtle Stewart has placed him well here and with C.Parnham in the saddle expect him to be ridden forward and go very close. AL’S FAMOUS has run nice races this preparation. MAY KEEP HIM is a query at the trip but has raced against some nice ones in a short career. PINK AND PURPLE looks like the trip will suit. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – KRAKKAS WIN Race 5 ASCOT GOLD trialed well and then was scratched first-up. This race looks his for the taking if Carbery can find the front. He is a bit of a jump and run type who should be suited at the track. TINTO BELLE sat off them in a trial at Bunbury but accelerated nicely when the gaps opened. ALL THAT SIZZLE has shades on and an aggressive apprentice engaged. JUST FRIARS one for novelty players. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – ASCOT GOLD WIN Race 6 DROP THE ORANGE looks very one paced and certainly not a star of the Durrant camp, but this is probably the weakest maiden on the card and they have found him a nice race on debut. MIA STELLA is her own worst enemy. Fresh a month between runs she can give a sight. METALLIC QUEEN has had a number of starts in her career but some of her runs this preparation are easily good enough to salute here. KURAKA improves from debut. Numbers: 9 – 11 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – DROP THE ORANGE WIN Race 7 ROSEBUSH stands out head and shoulders above the field here in terms of ability. She ran into some very good C1 animals last preparation and has trialed well for her return. Obviously had a few issues and hard luck stories coming into this preparation but she should be repaying patient owners. BURNING MAGIC has run well at every start for the Gav Foster team. LITTLE RED ROMAN won well last start and finds another winnable race. FROSTY BAY has speed to put himself into a position. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – ROSEBUSH WIN Race 8 VISION AND PRAYER has only had the one run in WA but looked like she will be winning a few, especially when she steps out over further. Kept kicking up and kept finding at her WA debut. Can win this. STARTTHEFRIAR would go close in this if scratching from Friday. MELROS BEACH is still a query at the trip but capable with the right run. ARMED AND READY could bob up and the stable has been in form. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – VISION AND PRAYER WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,9 7,9,10,11 3 1,3,4,5,7,8,10 Market Market
