RACE 2 No. 6 Menari

Missed last week’s race due to a slight injury concern however bolted in a trial at Randwick on Monday by over 5 lengths giving every indication there were no lingering problems. Impressive on debut before looking the best of good things beaten at his second start at Rosehill back in late January. All set to break back into the winners circle tomorrow and further his Golden Slipper claims.

RACE 3 No. 1 Scarlet Rain

Lightly raced filly who has come back in good order this prep. Resumed with a good, strong performance to score fresh before working early and proving no match for Tactical Advantage at Rosehill second up however that horse is flying at the moment so no disgrace there. On official Handicap Ratings alone she should be giving away a stack of weight here however under the set weights conditions is very well placed. Note has won on Heavy ground.

RACE 6 No. 2 Redzel

Resuming gelding from the Snowden stable who holds an impressive first up record having won 2 of his 4 attempts with a placing thrown in for good measure. Importantly from this yard he comes off a recent barrier trial win and placing which is always a positive sign, the placing was the latest of those trials being beaten less than a length behind the top flight sprinter English (also engaged here unknown on a heavy track). Looking for a big return.
