Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 3, 2024December 3, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 CHIEF COPY (1) is ideally drawn and fitter for the first two runs, he ran well on resumption and continued the solid form, he has options from the draw. KURIOUS BOY (4) was a solid effort against nice types last time out, he looks suited in this grade but isn’t a horse known for being the aggressor so tactics will becomes interesting if he cannot lead. FREYJA (9) trialled up solid before her return, it’s a tough draw and what ever she does tonight she will improve on. PRIME MOVER (2), WELEASE WODDEWICK (3) and COPY OF PARIS (8) are novelty chances. Tips: 1 4 9 2 Suggested Bet: CHIEF COPY (1) each way. Race 2 BARBADOS (7) looks a major player in this, he is a versatile type and expect him to be driven in a forward manner tonight, looks a strong each way play from the breeze. FRANCO WESTERN (6) likely rolls forward off the arm and can get into a very good position, he has been racing in solid races and this will suit him but he is one dimensional and will need to come at them late. HAVE AGO JOE (1) returns and has the good draw, likely leader and that’s where he does his best work. CRY HAVOC (10) will be a knockout hope if the gaps come at the right time, his last couple have been decent. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) novelty hope. Tips: 7 6 10 1 Suggested Bet: BARBADOS (7) to win. Race 3 MISTER MACEDON (1) was a solid effort last time out and even prior form had been very strong for a race of this nature, he should win the race as long as he can hold up in the early stages. VINTAGE BLU (2) has improved in his last few, he has good early speed as we saw last week, looks a novelty chance first in this. PRIDDAH (10) will be hoping the favourite can hold up as he is racing well enough to come into place contention. MAJOR JAY (5) has the capabilities of running a decent race but may have to do some work. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (3) is a novelty player. TUMBLIN DICE (6) is one to throw into your quaddie’s as he can fly the gate at his best and if he led he could run a big race, something left field for you out there. Tips: 1 10 2 5 Suggested Bet: PRIDDAH (10) to place. Race 4 MISTER MONTBLANC (6) looks well suited to return to the winners list tonight, he has the draw advantage over his main rival and can be driven aggressively and could get his way to the top. BLAZE ON (9) won with a bit of arrogance last time out, he can roll forward at some stage and run a bold race again, looks the main danger. FIREROCKFIREROLL (1) was disappointing last time out but has the speed to lead early and might look to sit over the longer trip. AMERICAN BULLITT (10) ideally drawn on return, brings him in with novelty claims. CARRERA MACH (3) is racing well, drawn to be close enough. AMAZING AMERICAN (4) is going nicely and can run a place at long odds along with SOHO GIGOLO (12) who has been luckless lately. Tips: 6 9 10 3 Suggested Bet: MISTER MONTBLANC (6) to win. Race 5 KABOCHON (1) should lead and win, simple as that. He will go around at the prohibitive odds and get the job done. MAJOR OVERS (2) was solid on Friday night and looks a novelty chance first in this race, he has the gate speed to test early but think they may go the conservative option here. CHILLI PUNTER (10) is racing well and with the favourites racing style, the run may come for her, and she looks the main danger. TORREVEAN PINKY (3) can run into the top 4 but is up in grade, will be looking for the pegs. BALINGUP BOY (5) comes into this race off a freshen up and is a novelty chance with his high speed. ON THE BACK FOOT (7) and HAVEYOUMETTED (9) both drawn wide and tempo looks against their chances. Tips: 1 10 2 5 Suggested Bet: KABOCHON/CHILLI PUNTER exacta. Race 6 ACUSHLA MACHREE (1) is coming off the back of her recent win at Narrogin and gets the perfect draw, looks to use her early speed and should be leading and winning but will be short. MINOR CATASTROPHE (2) will get a perfect run on the favourites back and looks a really good place chance. AMERICAN MONARCH (3) could follow down to the pegs but also has options from the draw, she has been racing well and will be hitting the line strongly along with ROCK ROSIE ROCK (7) who has good high speed. CHAMBRAY (5) is a horse who can do some work and stick on and may very well be in the breeze here. Tips: 1 2 3 7 Suggested Bet: MINOR CATASTROPHE (2) to place. Race 7 ACOLTNAMEDSU (3) has good early speed and has been racing without a lot of luck, he was held up his last couple and looks well placed to return to the winners list. CORK CAN RUN (10) has been just okay in recent runs, he has a solid reputation as a decent horse but will need some luck from the draw, capable. FOLLOW THE MUSIC (11) first up for the new stable and can run a decent race here from a nice trailing draw, keep him safe. VISITING HOURS (1) is a place hope from the pole with SHEHADI (6) and MAKE IT QUICK (9) who will both be running on. Tips: 3 10 11 9 Suggested Bet: ACOLTNAMEDSU (3) to win. Race 8 JAXON MORGAN (6) has the draw advantage over one of his main rivals and has good early speed in his own right, he can race his way to the lead and be very hard to beat in this. YOURDOINAMAZINSWEETY (7) has been sound performances but also a little bit up and down in the way he races, he looks to have the ability but hits a few flat spots, capable of running well here. YANKIE KEV (2) didn’t have any luck on return and thought the run still had merit, think he can bounce into this well, each way. SONIC CHIP (4) and GALVISTON JOHN (3) next best. Tips: 6 7 2 4 Suggested Bet: JAXON MORGAN (6) to win. Race 9 THAT’S NOT MY GAIT (6) has been doing it all wrong as of late, but her performances have been first class considering the ground she has lost. The distance is a massive tick, and she looks a major player in this race. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (3) looks the potential leader and should run a bold race, she looks to have reasonable ability. SELLUNE (4) is mister consistency, won’t be far away again. ELISH STAR (5) was better last run and could head forward here. THE BEAT (1) and MAJESTIC MARION (2) have not got a great record when it comes to mobiles and the same can be said for MRIYA DREAM (7) Tips: 6 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: THAT’S NOT MY GAIT (6) to win.
