Race 1

MY SWEET ADDICTION (5) has been racing in top form and has the depth to overcome the draw, can be driven like the best horse and she seems to thrive of that, go close. SWIZZLESTICK (9) has me sitting on the fence, his wins have been good, but races have been run to suit, faces a good test here. SHES A TINY DANCER (7) closed off well on WA debut, will be running on strongly with even luck. MAJOR CLASS (8) is a place hope with ESCAPEFROMREALITY (3) and IM BOSS (4).

Suggested Bet: MY SWEET ADDICTION (5) to win.

Race 2

Could be some speed on in this with BLOCKJORG (3) likely to attack forward for the top, moving up to the middle distance is a concern for mine. SHES A MARE (9) has won her last 3 and will be running on strongly but only possesses a short turn of foot. AMERICAN MONARCH (8) can perform better here, last run was encouraging without much luck and could fly under the radar. LUCIENNE (1) is a place hope from the draw. LUCI KANE (4) should come on from the last run and can be versatile when needed. TROIS FONTAINE (5) has come back well and can run home well. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (6) is very capable but needs a genuine tempo. Overall, it’s a very open race with many chances.

Suggested Bet: AMERICAN MONARCH (8) each way.

Race 3

YA BETTOR FOLLOWME (10) has been racing in solid form, and he is a versatile horse, liked his win last start and think he can overcome the draw and power on over the top. GET YA BETS ON (8) continues to improve and has a nice trailing draw, won’t be too far away. GOLD HORSESHOE (6) is racing in a consistent manner, will be there at the business end again. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (3) and JOEY JAMES (5) are both novelty chances. KOLISI (7) needs luck from the draw and SMOKEYS SHADOW (9) will be running on strongly.

Suggested Bet: YA BETTOR FOLLOWME (10) to win.

Race 4

Open race. SPEED FORCE (1) gets the good draw and a solid chance to lead and play a part in this; the grade suits and form has been slightly better recently. SWANBOURNE SPUNK (9) has been rather luckless in recent runs and this grade suits, expect him to be running on strongly. BONNIE PAULINE (4) is suited in this grade and although lacking early speed, she will be a pivotal part of the finish. RODGER JAMES (3) lacks tactical speed but is ready to win, should settle close enough. CIAO BABE (8) is capable but disappointed last time out.

Suggested Bet: SWANBOURNE SPUNK (9) each way.

Race 5

GEE HEZA SPORT (6) should win this with a leg in the air, he was brilliant in both his performances in the Nullarbor and Fremantle Cup, looks set to dominate. PENNY BLACK (9) is the logical second selection, she can wait for them to settle and head to the breeze and looks a solid exacta play. LONGREACH BAY (5) is flying, could burn across and lead and take cover and be a solid place chance. FEELING ACES (1) nearly won this race last year, looks more of a novelty hope here with CODENAME MARCUS (4) and FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (8)

Tips: 6 9 5 8

Suggested Bet: LONGREACH BAY (5) to place.

Race 6

BOY BLUE (6) has a heap of high speed and looks hard to beat here, his first up win was solid enough and this will be a good test for him, but also be a good test for CAPTAINS CREEK (5) who has been a beaten favourite in the last three runs, was unlucky on Tuesday before getting out and closing off well, major player. UP AND ALIVE (9) finished off well last time out and is trending in the right direction. OCEANFRONT (3) is a place hope from the draw but rises in grade for mine.

Tips: 6 5 9 3

Suggested Bet: UP AND ALIVE (9) to place.

Race 7 

GRIN DESTINY (2) comes into this fresh and looks well placed, very hard to beat but has been a beaten favourite on a few occasions. GALEOCERDO CUVIER (6) has plenty of early speed and is a chance to dash across and lead, think he can still run a good race on speed in this grade and should go close. GRACES STAR (10) will be running on well with EASTERN ADVANCE (9). SHADRACH (7) appears next best.

Tips: 6 2 9 10

Suggested Bet: GALEOCERDO CUVIER (6) each way.
