Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on September 15, 2025September 15, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 YOUR KIDDING (5) is a solid performer in short course standing start events as he seems to be much better suited to the tapes than the mobile, expecting him to jump well and be handy and looks hard to beat. ELISH STAR (3) has been racing well and should perform well again but is getting longer in the tooth and seems to be happy just running into the placings these days. LAVRADORE (4) is a major player if he could bounce to the top, some of his better form has been in these standing start races, nice effort last run. SELLUNE (7) must overcome the 30m handicap which won’t be easy and MAJESTIC LINE (6) can be further improved second up. Tips: 5 3 4 7 Suggested Bet: YOUR KIDDING (5) to win. Race 2 AMERICAN MACHINE (12) has been racing some of the better horses in his age group in recent runs, this is a tricky draw to overcome but he looks to be doing everything right and when he unleashes his turn of foot, he is dazzling, looks very hard to beat. FIRTH OF CLYDE (9) and SOME LINE (11) are both similar in ability and should run decent races, expect them to be prominent in the finish. CROWN GENERAL (3) has the speed to lead, and he has been improving through the preparation, looks a decent novelty chance from the draw. TOO FAR AWAY TED (6) was solid in his most recent run and LAST KING OF CAPEL (7) has been racing well but looks better performed when he’s on the pegs. Tips: 12 9 11 3 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN MACHINE (12) to win. Race 3 AKOYA PEARL (12) is a talented filly who can do work in her races, looks to let them settle and can be put into it and stick on strongly. STELLA DELIZIOSA (6) has been racing some of the better fillies and can run well in this, likely to be driven forward as will the stablemate MISS VINCENZA (5) who looks suited in this to run a better race. LUCKY COPY (7) is second up and was a solid run on return, draw is no good again. VILLAGE DEE JAY (8) was going to play a part in his last run before being KO’d, draw could work out tricky for him. CIGANDA (9) and LITTLE MISS MOLLY (11) come in with novelty claims. Tips: 12 6 5 7 Suggested Bet: AKOYA PEARL (12) to win. Race 4 GALVINSTON JOHN (3) has good early speed and looks likely to lead and roll along here, this distance suits and his last run put the writing on the wall. BEALAWYER (4) just knows how to run a consistent race, draw should see him close enough and he can play a part in the finish. KARAOKE STAR (7) is better suited to this trip and can see him return to some better form. HEAVENLY BLISS (8) and STAPLETON (9) both like this trip but the draws are against them. ITSOKTOBEGREY (1) has a nice draw and is first up for Chris Voak, but he’s got a horrible record of doing things wrong, happy to watch and assess. Tips: 3 4 7 8 Suggested Bet: GALVINSTON JOHN (3) to win. Race 5 EKARA NAVAJO (5) looks a major player in this, she has the draw advantage over her main rivals and is coming off a nice win last week, looks likely lead and be hard to run down. SOHO VESPER LIND (10) and SWEET IVY (11) seem to have the closing speed and form to get them into the race from back in the field. GRAND COUTEAU (8) is a nice type who has drawn very awkwardly following out a major roughie in the race. SHES A TINY DANCER (6) performed well on Friday and can head forward and get a good run, DOUSEEME (7) has been racing in top form this prep and expect her to be able to do work and stick on strongly. LENORA JANE (9) not the worst and RELATIVELY ARMA (12) faces a tough draw but is fitter for that last run. Tips: 5 10 11 7 Suggested Bet: EKARA NAVAJO (5) to win. Race 6 PINNY NOIR (7) looks to be a big improver in this; he has good gate speed and there is a chance he could cross and show his best today. BULL SHARK BETTY (5) is a consistent performer and shouldn’t be too far away in this, she has strings to her bow. BOY BLUE (9) has a lot of high speed and a nice draw to follow through, keep him safe on return. MAD MONDAY (11) is a better performed horse on speed, won’t get that luxury from here but can still run a bold race. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (4) was a good win last start, but this looks another step up and test for her. HIGHVIEW HEIDI (10) has been racing well enough and lurking behind them and BEATITLIKEBECA (12) is capable of a strong finish. Tips: 7 5 9 11 Suggested Bet: PINNY NOIR (7) to win. Race 7 CALL TO ARMS (8) has the beautiful trailing draw and looks to be following the leader, his two runs back from a freshen up have been luckless and strong and this looks perfect for him, very hard to hold out. SHES A LUCKY PENNY (1) will bounce back as she goes to her favourite distance, she should lead and take some catching. STAR LILLY (5) was a good effort last time out, she has good speed in her own right but may have to do the work which will make things more challenging. MADDY LOU (9) likely to dive to the pegs and follow through, looks more of a novelty chance with LORD PUBLISHER (10) and DREAM CONTROL (11). Tips: 8 1 5 9 Suggested Bet: CALL TO ARMS (8) each way. Race 8 BETTERTHAN SECRET (1) was a total forgive last run, ran into trouble at the business end and didn’t have the momentum with the leader stopping, expecting her to run well in this as she drops to the mile and has options. LADY CAMEL (5) looks to drop in grade nicely and can do the work, will be close to the speed and hard to run down if she led. SWEET DUNCAN (10) returns and was very strong last time in for Stuart McDonald, keep safe. WORLD SECRET (2) is a tricky horse to follow, has the ability. MANEA (8) must be included into novelties from the good draw along with BAZAAR PACKAGE (9), SUNSHINE SWIFT (4), JOEY JAMES (11) and ALTA FREEWAY (12) who are all capable of getting home well. Tips: 1 5 10 2 Suggested Bet: BETTERTHAN SECRET (1) each way. Race 9 I LIKE WHAT I SEE (1) has the draw to bounce back after disappointing last time out, she has options as well and expecting her to go strongly. BLOCKJORG (8) is ideally drawn in this as she performs well on the peg line and the distance suits. IDEAL INTEREST (12) was good in his comeback win, draw is hurtful over the mile, but he is talented. TUBBS FARQUHAR (4) chances improve greatly if he was able to cross. SMOKEYS SHADOW (6) is mixing his form, MACHANE SAID (7) is racing well, just did too much last time out. FIREPLAY (9) will follow the rail and is a novelty chance and BLUE BLAZER (10) is racing well and likes the distance. Tips: 1 8 12 10 Suggested Bet: BLOCKJORG (8) to place. Market Market
