Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 7, 2025July 7, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 COCOBOLO (1) was solid on debut, chasing a frenetic pace and will be better for the run and has an improved draw, she is ticking a lot of boxes coming into this race. BETTOR MOVE MATTY (4) looked solid in trials and has ability, well bred and expecting a solid debut. ALVAREZ (5) has shown promise but awkwardly drawn on debut. PROFIT SHARE (3) must be respected also, drawn to be prominent. MINK (9) has been consistent since debuting and can run on well from the back row. Tips: 1 4 5 3 Suggested Bet: COCOBOLO (1) to win. Race 2 LOTS OF CHANGE (4) has only had the one career stand and performed well and stepped safely, will be better for that look at the tapes and strikes a winnable race, go well. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (6) normally is reliable away and the short course stand suits. SELLUNE (9) is racing well, just needs a safe getaway as he can be fractious, 30m handicap is achievable even over the 2116m. YOUR KIDDING (5) was solid in his last outing, he continues to improve and can be handy to them. DARK SECRET (7) was solid last run but prefer him over more distance. ELEGANT PEAK (8) is the one who creates the interest, she is a bold trotter on return and must be respected. Tips: 4 9 8 6 Suggested Bet: LOTS OF CHANGE (4) to win. Race 3 THE FIRST CUT (2) returns and has come up with a great draw, she has good early speed and looks to be talented, can make it a winning return here. LYCA FANTASY (6) likely heads forward and has been racing quite well when she’s been driven assertively, don’t expect that to change here. STELLA DELIZIOSA (5) returns and has shown promise but can mix her form, could get a nice run in this. ELVIRA JANE (9) has had a few opportunities now and can just follow through from the start and lob handy to them, consider for the novelties. NO MESSING ABOUT (11) has been decent since debuting but it’s a very awkward draw to overcome in career start number three. Tips: 2 6 5 9 Suggested Bet: THE FIRST CUT (2) to win. Race 4 FEELING EMPATHY (1) hasn’t got the most exciting form line currently but she gets the ace draw over the 1177m and loves to lead, expecting a sharp improvement from her in this but hoping she’s a half decent price. MANGO TANGO (6) has been flying just beneath the radar and think he is ready to run a big race, lacks a bit of top end speed but must be respected in this. BEALAWYER (10) is mister consistency in these races, and he’ll be in the money again, no doubt but finds it hard to win. PACIFIC EAGLE (4) has the ability but just not racing at his best. SPINNER OF YARNS (7) and ASHIMA (9) both with awkward draws but hold consistency in this grade. Tips: 1 6 10 9 Suggested Bet: FEELING EMPATHY (1) each way. Race 5 LUCIENNE (2) has found form and stepped up and wasn’t disgraced in the York Cup last time out, this is a nice drop back and can be driven to the top and looks very hard to beat in this. GOGGINS (8) has drawn to get a soft run, and I feel he is the main danger from that 3 back the pegs position with his high speed late, solid chance. SUN AND SAND (1) disappointed from the breeze at Narrogin but better suited here from the draw and positioning in running, improver. ERA (5) not as well suited at the middle distance. THE INSIDE SCOOP (7) has come back well but a tough draw to overcome, novelty chance. Tips: 2 8 1 7 Suggested Bet: GOGGINS (8) to place. Race 6 SYCNRHONIZER (2) looks well placed, had zero luck last time out and looked something beaten, better suited off the front row and can push to the top and from there becomes the one to beat. SUNSHINE SWIFT (1) hasn’t come back to her best and gate speed a query here, should get a good run and can improve. CALL TO ARMS (8) bit like Goggins in the previous, is going to get a lovely run and be dangerous late. ROAD STAR (6) always a novelty chance with BIG BOZZ (4). Tips: 2 8 1 6 Suggested Bet: CALL TO ARMS (8) to place. Race 7 Good race upcoming. MADAM MAGGIE (1) has options from the draw and is racing well, she was mentally pressured last time out and just failed over a strong Frankie J Holden, respect her chances in this from the draw. SOHO VESPER LIND (3) had her chance last time out but she is right up to these with the better performed stablemate SOHO HONEY RIDER (6) who returns from an awkward draw. HER PRESENCE (8) faces her toughest test; she is undefeated but rises in grade and had to overcome an awkward draw. MY SILVER SPOON (7) is racing well, nice effort in the York Cup but the draw makes it more challenging. MISTER RIDGEWELL (5) also faces an awkward draw, competitive if he can find a decent position. STORMYSKYES (10) is capable, can watch things unfold. Cracking race. Tips: 6 1 8 3 Suggested Bet: MADAM MAGGIE (1) each way. Race 8 DAT LOVELY (1) had a torrid run last time out and performed bravely to finish third, she hasn’t had a great deal of luck since returning but has the perfect draw to play a significant role in this race. DOUSEEME (4) has come back well and has some fuel to burn, looks a major player in this. BLOCKJORG (3) is better performed at the shorter trip but can be driven forward from a front row draw. COPY OF PARIS (2) is improving. LORD PUBLISHER (9) and CRY HAVOC (10) both racing well but will have to overcome back row draws. TASHS SPARTAN (5) not having the best of luck since returning but the draw suggests that trend could continue. TUBBS FARQUHAR (8) is a novelty chance on return from the draw. Tips: 1 4 9 10 Suggested Bet: DAT LOVELY (1) each way. Market Market
