Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 9, 2025September 9, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open race with not a lot of exposed form to go off. METEOROID (6) hit the line well last start and looks to have come back in decent style, is aided by the ballot of Joseph Suvaljko in the young drivers race and think he can park up and sprint over the top and go close. CRACKA TINNY (2) is drawn in close and think he can get home nicely, should run well here. DENNINGTON HEIGHTS (1) has the nice draw and should run an improved race. SPORTS CENTRAL (3), SPINNER OF YARNS (4) and FIREBALL FRIDAY (8) all novelty chances in a tricky race. Tips: 6 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: METEROID (6) each way. Race 2 EKARA NAVAJO (1) drops in grade nicely and has the ace draw, should realistically lead and win on what we’ve seen her produce in recent runs. SIDSTREPO (2) is racing well and will get the perfect run, looks a place lock. SHES A MARE (3) also likely to drop to the pegs and get a soft run and if the gaps come, she can run into the money. GEE SMITH (4), TARTAN ROBYN (5) and MAJOR CLASS (6) are all horses who can likely race forward in the breeze and are capable to stick on. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (8) is mixing her form but can get home well. Tips: 1 2 3 5 Suggested Bet: SIDSTREPO (2) to place. Race 3 Few chances in this. LORD PUBLISHER (7) was a good run on Saturday night and has the speed to burn forward and get handy to them, could be dangerous in this. LUKES MISTAKE (6) won well last time out, lacks a bit of early speed but Aiden De Campo jumps on and is likely to get the best out of him early. CARA DIANA (1) nicely drawn and can feature, should be close enough and form has been sound. VYBRANT (2) racing well but lacks early speed so positioning will be interesting and that is the same story for FIORD (3). I SEE FIRE (4) will have to do some work, his best is good enough and same can be said for OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (5) who can mix his form. CHERRY ON THE CAKE (10) needs luck from the draw. Tips: 7 6 1 5 Suggested Bet: LORD PUBLISHER (7) each way. Race 4 SIMPLYTHEBEST (1) has a nice draw to work with and has options from the draw, shouldn’t be too far away and can play a serious part here. SHES A LUCKY PENNY (3) is a quick beginner and could charge to the top, prefer her at a shorter trip in this grade but she could still run a bold race, form for Joseph Suvaljko has been good. SIANGDI (2) creates interest and has a reasonable draw, keep safe. AMERICAN MONARCH (5) and TUX AND TAILS (6) both put the writing on the wall last start and should run well here. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (8) is racing well but the draw really hurts his chances. BEACH CAPTAIN (10) needs some luck but has got the lovely draw. LUKE ATTACK (12) capable in this grade. Tips: 1 3 6 5 Suggested Bet: SIMPLYTHEBEST (1) each way. Race 5 BLOCKJORG (1) looks the likely leader here and will get a good chance but just think she struggles at the middle distance and could be a few solid challengers late, she can win but wouldn’t want to be diving in too short. THE WAND WAVER (2) is racing soundly, no back line means she should be leaders back and that is ideal for her. MAJOR MANHATTAN (5) is knocking on the door, shouldn’t be too far away. SMOKEYS SHADOW (6) and MACHANE SAID (8) both went well on Saturday and should be getting to the line well in this, price dependent but either of these winning wouldn’t surprise. MIKI WINDERMERE (9) has the ability but comes in first up from a tough draw. Tips: 6 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: SMOKEYS SHADOW (6) each way. Race 6 MISS BEJEWELED (5) looks to have a heap of high speed and comes into this race nicely, been placed into a maiden at the short course and with a break and coming back, I think she’ll be a bit wiser and should be very dangerous. SWEETER THE BETTOR (6) is very well bred and looks to have ability, respect on debut. BOUGIE (3) lacked early speed last run and was sound, this grade suits better. GOTALOTOFTRIX (1) and IN FULL FLIGHT (2) have the nice draws and have performed soundly in trials. Tips: 5 6 3 1 Suggested Bet: MISS BEJEWELED (5) to win. Race 7 STRELETZIA MISS (3) is one I’ve been following for a while, she finds a suitable grade here and expect her to run a big race in this, ready to win. PET SHOP ADDA (2) was a big improver on Friday night and has a nice draw again, can go on with it. SPOT ON MOLLY (4) has a lot of early speed and should make a play for the lead, she is still learning but has the ability at this stage and distance suits. SHERICKA (1) can improve off the inside and although IKES GOT THE MIKE (8) disappointed me on Friday, this grade suits him much better and expect him to get to the line well. Tips: 3 2 4 8 Suggested Bet: STRELETZIA MISS (3) each way. Race 8 WALLEN (7) returns and has good form on the board for a race of this nature, can do some work and appears hard to beat. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (6) appears the main danger with the last couple of runs being strong and should feature in this. GRIN DESTINY (1) has the nice draw and won’t be too far away, but form is nothing to get too excited about. CAPPY THE FIREY (5) next best but form does drop away. Tips: 7 6 1 5 Suggested Bet: WALLEN (7) to win. Market Market
