Matt Young’s Friday Bunbury Preview Posted on September 26, 2025September 26, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Not a fast front line on form but could be some keen to hold forward spots which could set it up nicely for early pressure and a run on type. GO HOME JO (10) fits the bill nicely and looks well suited in this grade and distance as well, she was solid last time out and expecting her to be hard to beat. BLIND EDITION (2) could improve from the draw; he has got some early speed but isn’t a pretty horse to watch with his unique style. MAPLE MAREE (1) is capable of improvement but form so far this prep hasn’t been enthralling. ZUEDE (3) has no early speed but this class suits, just needs some luck and is coming in fresh. THIS TIME JACKO (6) capable in this grade but needs luck. AMERICAN DUTCHESS (8) was solid for her first run for the stable, drawn to get a soft run and expect her to close off well. Tips: 10 8 3 2 Suggested Bet: GO HOME JO (10) to win. Race 2 SUGAR BOO (9) came back and was narrowly beaten, has a nice trailing draw and can watch things unfold early and get home strongly, looks hard to hold out. HOT ROCKEFELLER (4) returns from some time away but has always had ability, he should be kept safe. JACK MANNIX (6) has been consistent as of late, expecting a similar run here and he will be involved in the finish. CINDYS SECRET (5), DAWSON SHARD (7) and EASTON QUALITY (8) all chances with even luck in an open race. Tips: 9 4 6 5 Suggested Bet: SUGAR BOO (9) to win. Race 3 GOODTIME LOUIS (6) looks dropped into this perfectly, he has been beaten from pillar to post in his recent metro runs and drops back to country front and has the speed to burn to the top and should be driven like the best horse and should be winning. DOUSEEME (10) also drops in grade and can-do work, horse is racing well and shouldn’t be too far away. LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (2) looks the likely leader initially and should be close enough to earning again. BLUE BLAZER (7) was a good run after he did things wrong early last time out, will be running on well. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (8) next best, novelty chance. Tips: 6 10 2 7 Suggested Bet: GOODTIME LOUIS (6) to win. Race 4 THEYCALL ME STOOGE (10) could be suited here with a bit of early speed off the front row, he has good closing speed and this class suits him, go well. HONOUR THE EAGLE (9) is ready to run a bold race, do prefer her on speed with the addition of the pegs but this class suits and can get home well. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (8) is back to his better form but needs luck from the draw. ELEPHANT ROCK (1) was a good run last time out, may try and hold a forward position. SWEET SASSYMOLASSY (3) is ready to win but may have to do some work again. JAMIE KIM (6) capable but prefer him on speed. STIRUP IRON JACK (7) can get keen if they choose to go forward it could create a genuine tempo. Tips: 10 9 8 3 Suggested Bet: THEYCALL ME STOOGE (10) each way. Race 5 MY ULTIMATE KEVVIE (4) has good early speed and could try and ping to the top and if he was able to cross this grade suits him and he will go close. ALTA KING (5) is versatile and can do the work if required, will go close. STRIKING A DEAL (2) was solid last time out and is heading in the right direction, class suits. ROCKNROLL NUGGET (3) is versatile and shouldn’t be too far away, trialled up and was solid recently. ISLAND TEE REX (6) is right in this on ability, but his three runs back have left a bit to be desired, wouldn’t surprise to see him improve sharply but form wise there isn’t a lot to get excited about at this stage. HUGHEY (8) has improved recently but needs luck from the draw. Tips: 4 5 2 6 Suggested Bet: MY ULTIMATE KEVVIE (4) to win. Race 6 WICKED WINDERMERE (7) should get the job done here, he was solid in defeat last time out and can do the work in his races when required, hard to hold out. LUNAR MISS (3) has the speed to race close to the speed and can run into the money. ALFA JESS (2) is fitter for recent effort and that was in good time, lacks a little bit of early dash. TAYLORS BOY FRED (6) was a better run last time out and with the reduced field, should be getting home from the back of the field. Tips: 7 2 3 6 Suggested Bet: WICKED WINDERMERE (7) to win.
