Scott’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on May 11, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 THE CRUEL SEA normally takes a run or two to peak and with the return of the Goldfields #1 rider to the region he can salute third-up in a small field. THIDWICK THE MOOSE resumes in a winnable race for him, likely to get back but watch for him finishing on. MODERN TOUCH just kept kicking last start and broke through for a deserved win. CAINO BELLE lumps a big weight but loves the 7 furlongs at Kal. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – THE CRUEL SEA WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 2 THE CRUEL SEA - Win Boost Race 2 CODE VIOLATION put moderate opposition to the sword first-up and can retain form here without surprising. BOS TAURUS is a class dropper and with the huge amounts of speed in this race could settle just off them. NAZARETH gets a good run behind the tempo. CHANTEGO STAR likely pulls its way forward to sit outside whoever takes it up. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – CODE VIOLATION WIN Race 3 TIME ON MY SIDE has threatened to pinch a maiden leading all the way throughout her career and with the engagement of Autier in a small field she may take up the running and be ridden aggressively. INIMITABLE is becoming costly for her big punting ownership. She deserves to break through. SECRET LEADER has had a lot of chances and ran into a good one first-up albeit beaten out of sight. SLURPIN TURPIN’ best of the rest. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – TIME ON MY SIDE EACHWAY Race 4 MAJOR MAMBO is in the right class, drawn perfectly and more than capable of lumping the top weight to victory in a fairly weak mile. SIRIUS PROSPECT looks a nice acquistion for Kalgoorlie and can race close handy. VONO comes to town off the back of an impressive finishing effort behind a horse who made a late charge for Albany horse of the year. JENABEL also makes the trip for astute Great Southern trained Earl O’Loughlin. The mare can win. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – MAJOR MAMBO WIN Race 5 LIZZIE is widely regarded as one of the most talented maidens in Kalgoorlie at the minute and she will shake that tag very soon. Senior rider on suggests they money will come. PSIONICS is best allowed to roll in front and gets the most appropriate hoop for that tactic. LADY HAWKE was fair at her first start in Kal. UNIVERSAL HALO ran some handy enough races last preparation. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – LIZZIE WIN Race 6 ATTAMOR was brilliant at two runs back before having no luck at most recent. Drawn a gate to be ridden aggressively and should be right there in the finish. IT’S DYNMITE put on a galloping exhibition first-up over a subsequent winner before getting too far back last start and running an eye catcher. Can bounce back quickly. ROTANA BEACH has always gone well when taken to Kalgoorlie in the past, looks a nice assignment. CHHAYA is always running on. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – ATTAMOR WIN Race 7 LIQUID MAN is far from trustworthy and seems to shy away whenever riders pull the whip but back in trip and drawn a gate can be in the finish. CHASER will pick off a race like this sooner rather than later. CLASSI SURVIVOR won well two starts ago in arguably tougher grade. PEARL OF HTE PLAIN seems to grow a leg when she can find the front. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – LIQUID MAN EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,4,6,8 5,6 1,2,3 FLD Bet Now
