Ipswich 9 January- Thoroughbreds Preview Posted on January 8, 2016January 8, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 1 No.2 WOLF CRY Without doubt Peter and Paul Snowden would have earmarked this rich Maiden for their lightly raced youngster some time ago. He really does have the score on the board having gone around in Group and Listed company at all 4 starts to date missing a placing only once. His biggest recommendation has to be a 6 length 3rd behind potential top liner Exosphere two starts back at Warwick Farm in the Group 2 Skyline. Barring bad luck just wins! RACE 2 No.15 THREE SHEETS Cessnock visitor who ran a game 2nd at Doomben last time working across from a wide gate early on to track the leader. Although never likely to catch that runner I liked the way he stuck to his task all the way down the straight. He drops 3.5kg carrying the minimum tomorrow and draws a perfect gate. Should gain the run of the race and prove very hard to beat. RACE 5 No.1 CENTRE PIVOT Another Sydney trained visitor who was super impressive winning at Doomben 3 weeks back over 1600m in a very fast run Bernborough Handicap. Bolting on the home turn he quickly had the race in his keeping one Blake Shinn released the brakes soon after. Shotover River and Lordag have come out of that race and since run well at the Sunshine Coast last Saturday franking the form. Drawn to gain a perfect run again looks very hard to beat.
