Harry Buchanan’s Sunday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on January 14, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 6 Tears and Tanty Drops back to the short trip but she’s gone well over it previously and is racing well right now. Can show speed out wide and with a good step she could sweep into this without surprising at all. Race 4 No. 3 Morningstar Fun and No. 4 She’s A Menace The 3 gets her best chance in a while here. Can cross the inside two and she is much better when she gets the arm. Won’t be caught if she gets it here. The 4 is a sneaky hope if she steps. Doesn’t win out of turn but it’s not a hard race and she runs the time necessary to get into the finish. Race 5 No. 4 Levi Blazer and No. 5 Rogue Runner The 4 missed the start slightly last week and that’s not like him. Usually a very good box dog and will look to fire out here and find the arm quickly. Hard to catch if he gets it. The 5 is racing well now and he will also go forward in a hurry. Does his best work when he’s out in front solo so needs to go with the 4 early here to threaten. Race 7 No. 10 Ash The Flash and No. 8 Scientist If the 10 gets a start here she’s a huge threat. She was super throughout her brief period of runs over this track and trip recently then beat a decent field at Mandurah. Can win and place at least. The 8 is well drawn here and he will benefit from the fence crashers inside him. Can muster up and sustain a good run home. Play there each way. Race 8 No. 8 Zac’s Thunder Went enormous for him last week in a much tougher race. Has probably watered his price down now but he’s ready to win and anything in the each way vicinity should get some attention. Race 9 No. 2 Sin Bin Sammy This fav out wide will need to do two things. The first is to cross these and lead, then he needs to put this bloke in 2 as far as possible in the rear view mirror because he will wind up very very strongly in this. If they bet each way, he’s a great place heavy go and can win if he lands close. Race 10 No. 2 Lil Miki Breeze and No. 1 Opie Monelli The 2 is well drawn here and went super at Mandurah when she couldn’t quite cross the fav inside her. Will give a sight if she steps here and leads. The 1 will wind up hard and while he is better suited out wide, very few of these can hold him off late if he’s close. Race 11 No. 1 Bracton The 1 is boxed to win. Going much better than the form shows and will look to spear out and go all the way. Best bet to not miss the frame here as they will be betting an each way price. Race 12 No. 8 Classic Style and No. 5 Rock Solid Kid Several hopes in this. The 8 might just swish over here and land close enough to close the race out strongly and score. She’s put in some big runs before and will get her space she likes. The 5 will go fast and look for the fence. He is a little under rated and could give this a shake if he gets close up the back. He’s ready to do something now. Market Market
