Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on December 15, 2023December 15, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 1 No. 7 Hopeland Very very hard to beat here. She dominated over this trip 2 starts back and wasn’t quite the same over the 400 last start. Back to this short trip, box is perfect, wins with an ounce of luck and clean step. Race 4 No. 2 Crumble Monelli and No. 7 Start Up Ando The speed weapon in 2 drops back to the 400 here and it’s on now. His usual good step then dazzling acceleration should see him light these up and be incredibly hard to catch. If he makes an error, the 7 is a sneaky each way hope at big odds. Well drawn and likes it here, he will run a handy race. Looks the 2s to lose though. Race 5 No. 2 Cubit Monelli and No. 7 Roman Blazer The 2 became the first dog to go under 22 seconds over the 400m last start and now steps up to the 488m. Won’t matter. Has blown the clock up at Cannington over the 500 and gets a luxury draw here with the wide runners right outside him. Leads all the way if he holds the arm into the back. The 7 the best smokie and he will produce soon. Has ability but no luck since arriving and can surprise here. Race 6 No. 3 Sneaky Emoji and No. 7 Eugenius Good race. The red hard to beat but I have no doubt the 3 can make him sweat if he lands right on his hammer. Very fast dog who has been superb here so far and drawn to get the gun map. Each way bird if price allows. The 7 is just a level below the good dogs but he sticks on well and can run a race here to hit the frame. Will be a place heavy option. Race 7 No. 3 Sunset Mirage and No. 1 Redhead Rider The 3 is the best dog in the race. Slots over early here behind the speed and cuts loose up the back where he can put the issue beyond doubt. Goes low 27, these don’t. The 1 will set the pace here. Boxed to show his good early burn and he can stick on surprisingly well. If the fav finds trouble he could be hard to catch. Worth a play on the save at least. Race 8 No. 5 Carter Axelrod and No. 7 All About Coal Looking for an upset here. The 5 is resuming and the trainer has done a great job with him. Was already a good dog prior to the kennel change but has been lifted to a new level now. Resuming so will be fresh and possibly tire but has performed well fresh in the past over 500. The 7 will love this place. Will progressively wind up and charge through the line and he will be a price here. Place heavy but follow him at this circuit no matter what he does here. Race 9 No. 4 If You Say and No. 1 Clifton Iyla If the 4 had just had one more run under his belt, he would beat these like a drum. Still wins though and only fitness stops him here but he should have enough up the old sleeve to beat these. The 1 will run a sneaky race this time. She steps fast every week and she might just hold up better this time. Flat spot through the pen but could be close enough here to run top 2. The 4 looks the lobster though on a plate full of sardines. Race 11 No. 7 Returning Tide and No. 8 Escapologist The 7 lit them up over the 300 setting a sub 17 new track record last time after a kennel change. Went fast and charged away to bolt in. Showed good track form here prior and will surprise again here over the longer trip. Our old mate in 8 comes off a few weeks let up. She walks out but recovers quickly and sustains a swooping wide run home and she has place heavy options written all over her. Can get into it late. Race 12 No. 7 West On Outlaw and No. 4 Left Right Now The 7 will accelerate very quickly here and take no end of stopping in this company. Already won 3 from 5 here and looks better suited wide as he gets off a little into the first turn. Should give another great sight. The 4 could stun here. He bobs up from time to time and can step when he’s on. Has shown versatility and while he would need an all time best start here, he’s done it before. Worth a little each way spec. Market Market
