Chris’ Eagle Farm Preview Posted on August 19, 2016August 22, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 5 No. 9 Monster Of Energy Brian Smith trained galloper who is a model of consistency of late having won or placed at his past 3 starts. A change of tactics has worked wonders with him now being ridden forward in his races which met with immediate success leading all the way to bolt in here 3 starts back. Not far away both subsequent runs he gets his chance to break through once again tomorrow. RACE 6 No. 2 The Monstar Dominant winner here a fortnight ago in similar conditions beating similar rivals. Heavily backed on that occasion he powered away from his opposition over the concluding stages to score very easily on the line by over 3 lengths. He loves the give in the ground which suits around here and even accounting for the 2.5kg weight rise is still clearly the one to beat. RACE 8 No. 9 San Telmo New addition to the Bradley Smith stable at Deagon who has really hit his straps since coming up from NSW. Just needed the run when not too far off the in-form One Inch Punch first up before quickly benefitting from that outing with a strong win here over this distance last time out. Further improved and dropping in weight he looks extremely tough to beat once again.
